Ryoma hasn't lost to any official games yet but I remember Ryoma being defeated by Tezuka in a practice game... I like that ep anyway.

hmm not so much of an update these recent days huh, well now here it goes: as of the current chapter score's 3-1 in favor of fuji. niou is completely acting like tezuka (even doing the tezuka phantom). now fuji is reminiscing about the match they had during their freshmen years. he defeated tezuka flat, 6-0, exactly like the anime. so prediction next week? the reason why tezuka lost that way and why's that? he just got his arm freshly whacked by a racket by a sempai, exactly like in the anime.

new chapter out, featuring niou aka tezuka finally conquering the gatekeepers. the score is 5-4 now in niou's favor. i think the next chapter is the time to show the new final counter. (although fuji's still doing really great breaking the saiki kanpatsu no kiwami in his normal state.)

new chapter out. fuji has already figured out the weaknesses of the illusion of niou and was able to turn the tables back to him, with the score 6-5 in favor of fuji. however niou switches into being shiraishi kuranosuke. fuji announces his 6th counter. imo, he's trying to build an arsenal of counters designed for each specific players, so there will be no more final counters. another exciting chapter to look forward to next week.

illusion, using hyakuren jitokou no kiwami (pinnacle of hardwork) niou's been able to copy tezuka to the point that he's even emitting the image of tezuka himself, as well as perfectly copying his moves.

well, another update. it seemed that niou=shiraishi was able to stop all the counters of fuji (1 to 5) but it is then that fuji launched his 6th. it's bad that the counter is not too detailed in image and is very obscurely explained. anyways it spelt victory for fuji and seigaku, wrapping up the game at 7-5. next is doubles 1. i think it's golden pair vs. yagyuu-kuwahara.

edit: after reading again the chapter i now understood the counter. fuji hits a cord ball and instead of dropping right away it is sent very high in the sky (too high the opponent can't see where the ball is due to the brightness of the sun) then the ball drops in a supersonic speed, coupled with an irregular spin it is sent outside into the audiences' seats.

edit2: it is the opponent who must hit a cord ball before fuji can do the 6th counter. so hoshi hanabi is a cord ball counter.
