On another note, IF Oro were assisting, or battling Edo-Madara, AND he somehow now had Sage Mode Ability when he didn't before (but its a possiblility since he recovered his own chakra, and the ability from KAbuto), that'd be a problem for even Edo-Madara one would think.

Orochimaru is a sage.. he recovered his Senjutsu Chakra from Kabuto .. said it was HIS own chakra! Oro just lacked a body that could handle FULL sage mode even tho he obtained a partial form of white snake mode akin to Jiraiya's hermit mode where he partially transforms into a frog.

Orochimaru used Juugo's power to make the curse mark. We know that Juugo's power comes from natural energy.. the very energy required to gain sage mode.

Kabuto's body had been augmented to be able to handle the sage power. He had the powers of the sound four (Curse Mark wielders.. natural energy times 4) plus orochimaru's snake power; being the scientist he is Kabuto just elevated what was already in Orochimaru's cells and perfected the snake ( like the one from his stomach{ Oro } into dragon mode like the white dragon sage.

If this isn't developed further with the resurgence of Orochimaru then I don't know what kishi is going to do with the character .. the groundwork is there and the dots connect

ITACHI VS KABUTO:

Sorry, but I had to address this^^^

The Tayuya sound genjutsu that itachi and sasuke were under was broken by Chunin shikamaru before, simply by breaking his finger, causing physical pain. This is the most popular tactic used to break genjutsu as even shown by Kurenai who broke itachi genjutsu he reversed on her by biting her lip to cause pain.

ANd yet, these tactics are used by those without genjutsu abilities like sasuke or the god of genjutsu, itachi himself. So, you are propsing that a genjutsu that could not stop a chunin shikamaru would stop itachi... Yea, even if itachi could not break the genjutsu on his own through sheer skill. He could just bite his lip or cause himself pain and the genjutsu would be done.

But, itachi just used an easier means by having sasuke use another genjutsu to over power the one he was under, but did not need sasuke to get out of the genjutsu. So itach iwithout a doubt oculd get past a genjutsu that shikamru as a chinin easily got past, no doubt about it!!

With Kabuto vs itachi:

Kabuto's only chance is his Hakugenki. Hitting itachi with it to paralyze him in order to land an attack. However, itach showed he sitll had the ability to produce a very partial susanoo (ribs bones and arm) to protect himself while offensively attacking. SO kabuto could still get caught...

And since the only times kabuto hit itachi, itachi was protecting sasuke, thus he got stabbed by the cave. And the other time never actually happened, it was the activation of Izanami when kabuto touched itachi against right before he was shown split in half.

Kabuto's advantages;
: Closed eyes, so no SG genjutsu or tsukuyomi.
: Can hendge so damn well that amaterasu will not work unless kabuto is trapped first.
: Can use the force of nature to increase his perceptual abilities so he cna still sense itachi to fight him.
: Can use a single sound genjutsu that will work for a little bit.

Itachi's advanatage's;
: His jutsu speed and small physicla movements that are beyond the SG to follow even gives him the advantage to hit kabuto with multiple jutsu to overwhelm him and his nature used senses.
: Shisui's eye was a weapon given to itachi so he gets to have it, fuck naruto it's itachi's power as he claimed. With shisui's Kotoamatsukami, as shown with danzou and Mifune. The eye was completely covered and direct eye contact was not even made yet Koto still worked. So itachi could whip out his crow and use Koto to implant a thought to beat kabuto. "commit suicide", "give up" or simply "were best friends, let down your guard completely". Allowing itachi to easily ambush kabuto and win.
: The sword of totsuka. Even with all of kabuto's powers, he is still easy pickens for a blitz from the totsuka sword that strikes like lightning.
: Izanami! Itachi could just use that, but that is if he needed kabuto alive to end edo tensai too.
: Most of all his insight, analytical ability coupled with his intelligence allows him to read and understand people and thei jutsu so well that he can find weakness in anything.

Pretty much, itachi will in all scenarios win this fight due to his amazing insight, analytical ability coupled with his amazing intelligence. Itachi is shikamaru with a MS pretty much... And because kabuto is so over confident, itachi will just for sure win when it comes down to it in the end.

: Izanami as it has already been proven.
: SHisui's Kotoamatsukami which is a given.
: Use God-like Jutsu speed to overwhelm kabuto's nature senses and land a mortal blow.
: Or just by setting kabuto up and blizting him with the totsuka sword.

Or, in combat just physically open kabuto's eye and look in them. With itachi's physical skill and taijutsu, this is very plausible.

Pretty much, kabuto does not really have anything to beat itachi with. He has..
: a sound genjutsu that a chunnin can beat, thus itachi as well.
: Other sound five jutsu that did not beat the other chunin.
: Using a cave as a weapon or hakugenki, but itachi could get past both of those without sasuke to protect with out much effort.

Pretty much kabuto has his snake expansion, snake swallowing jutsu he used to capture yamato with to fall back on. But, even if he swallowed itachi with it, itach could just create susanoo to tear up kabuito from the inside. There is just no conceivable way for Kabuto to beat itachi. No way!!!
