ok. that would be totally pointless. Pein being Itachi there? No. That wouldn't make sense. It wouldn't take Pein that short a time to find Naruto anyways. And why would Pein not just be Pein? Naruto is just as likely to run away from Pein as he would be to Itachi, and if you think that is wrong, then just keep this in mind: why would Pein know that Naruto wouldn't run from Itachi?

Naruto doesn't run away. Period. No matter how strong the opponent may seem, that's one thing that should be noted about him. He's not like many others ZzZzzz. He's gotten so many beatings, I don't see why he should be scared now. Chances are 1. That's a clone bushin from naruto and that's Sasuke using sharingan. Or 2. Itachi has something under his sleeve and needs Naruto's assistence for something.

He fought during the Sasori arc. Though I guess that wouldn't count cuz it wasn't really itachi.

Naruto's gonna get angry and a fight's gonna break out. Someone's gonna catch up to Sasuke, then fight. and what about Kabuto man? Can't our psycho medic, oro obsessed ninja get some panel here?

I doubt Naruto will charge. He has a habit of doing that, true, but he knows Itachi's abilities, and I think he's the one opponent who's strength he respects. I'm sure he'll still shit-talk though, since he's Naruto.

I do think Itachi will talk though. Most likely he has plans which conflict with Tobi's. Sasuke is part of his plan, and perhaps Naruto plays a part as well, other than having the Kyuubi extracted.

I'm predicting that Sasuke will run into either an Akatsuki or a clone of Naruto's. I'm pretty sure it'll be a clone, though.

nice prediction special one. I could see that happening. Good use of each person's abilities, but I think that Sasuke wouldn't talk of Naruto with such respect to his abilities and power. Liked that prediction though.

Well I did not intend for it to sound like Sasuke was respectful of Naruto's powers. Sasuke knows about Naruto's idea of getting into the way, it could throw the whole objective of Team Hebi off, Naruto interfering would be the worse thing that could happen to Sasuke in my opinion because it could slow down the mission, Naruto might jump it, and bit of confusion and memories might get in the way. I'm not saying Sasuke is wary of Naruto's power, but more concerned about him messing up the plan..

^I like your prediction also Special One...I'm leaning towards a slightly different route.

Naruto's clone encounters Itachi's clone (whenever we have seen Itachi alone in the manga it was a clone...AKA always travel in teams of two). He tells Naruto there is something he wants to show him and then with the MS he shows Naruto something troublesome that answers a lot of Naruto's questions (not sure what he will show him...should be interesting). Then Itachi's clone releases the MS and then vanishes. Naruto's clone stands there with a bothered look on his face and then he dispersed. The information given to him by Itachi goes back to the original Naruto and he suddenly stops. Everyone looks back at him and asks him whats wrong...he brings them up to date and tells them what has just happen.....

I'm guessing we will not see anything from Team Hebi in the next chapter....if so then I think it would take a while for the next plot to develop.

Just a thought...

Itachi was looking for naruto to explain everything about why the uchiha clan died. He is going to say that it was not him and it was actually madara. Remember when sauske thought he saw someone on the pole and only saw the sharingan? maybe just maybe.
