Hello guys, I am new to this forum and I have a question about rock lee. It was stated somewhere in the manga that jounins needed to master two types of elements such as wind and or water. In Gai's case I believe he has master two elements but in the case of rock lee how would he manage to do that with inability to mold chakra?? I mean there was a thread going around saying he had some special exam made for him to become a genin will there be a special exam for him to become jounin?

they dont need to have two elements. they just usually do

in rock lees case they would most likely make an exception considering hes extremely talented without element manipulation. i also dout kishi will be heading in that direction with the manga.

Welcome to the fourm.
Kakashi said that Jonin usually know two differnet elements. In Rock Lee's case, it is the same as how he became a Genin, he is a exception when it comes to jutsus.

he may not mold it too do ninjutsu but he can mold it too do taijutsu

The highest possible rank I can see rock lee obtaining would be Tokubetsu Jonin. Which is a lower rank then a normal Jonin incase anyone was wondering.

Edit: Tokubetsu Jonin normally have Jonin-level ability in a single area or skill. For rock lee it'll be Taijutsu.

That would be the most likely scenario.

But yes, Rock Lee will always been an exceptional exception to obtaining any new rank a shinobi can try for.

Its never been stated he runs fast making fake hand signs then pretends he's doing a ninjutsu :P

Edit: However while using the Lotus he's able to put chakra into his hand raps then tie his opponent up. Everything else I can think of is just taijutsu

Until it's been stated else wise, Rock Lee can't perform Ninjutsu or Genjutsu as we've all been informed by the series.

But does releasing one's Chakra gates count as molding or controlling one's chakra?

it you have watch the anime and wtached it closely you would of seen when he kicks and punches he releases wind just like how naruto can release wind through his hands, just because you have an element that does not mean that it is retricted to only ninjutsu

Very weak argument. The wind as you call it is there to show the viewer just how fast rock lee is. Its not showing any hints at rock lee being able to control a nature element. Try again please.

Very true but right now that's only a theory/assumption and not cold hard fact.

Then again, in most manga and anime, motion lines are used to exaggerate great speed in a 2d environment/world.

But again, like mentioned above, Rock Lee was able to use chakra in his hand/arm wraps to grab his opponent while preforming the Revers lotus.
