The True Path

So I was walkin' down the street one day in the middle of the night when a light appeared above me. I looked up, a little confused I have to admit, and I saw a figure in a white robe coming down towards me. The figure landed in front of me and opened his arms as if to embrace me. I stepped back and said, "Fuck off!" He lowered his arms, and stepped back. I tried to get a good look at his face, but I couldn't see anything through the light. Suddenly, he spoke to me.

"My name is Jack, and I am an angel."

I just stared at him.

"We have been watching you and we're very worried about your soul. Here, take this candle-" he held up a lit candle "-and walk down the path to the left, the path to the ultimate truth."

Suddenly, the world around me went completely black. Suddenly, a bright path appeared to my left. I was interested now.

"However, if you want to, you can simply walk down the path to the right and this entire incident will be erased from your memory."

I pondered for a moment, then said, "Give me the candle, Jack." I grasped the candle and-

Computers are fucking expensive as shit now. Why people don't just build their own is beyond me, it'd be so much cheaper.
