Yeah, that's a lot of copies of Halo 3 no matter how it's sliced. And it's somewhat surprising that this many have been sold, since the first Xbox didn't do so hot in Japan.

The Japanese does not like the idea of an American made console trying to change their views on gaming. I think that's why Microsoft will probably never do well over there. But yeah, no need to hate on the Japanese, they just don't like those types of games. Its all about Metal Gear over there! Yay.

Also I was expecting those type of numbers after a few months, but for it to be in the number one spot, well Japan just had a bad lineup, or the games that were selling okay before, are not selling as good as they use to. I'm expecting the number of copies sold in Japan for Halo 3, not to go up that much higher in the coming weeks and months.

In truth Japanese games have always. ALWAYS. Been of the higher quality. The japanese are always the ones to push the console to its true limit and this is why a majority of the games I get are Japanese made. Koei, Square, Capcom, and so on.

I agree with The Special One. The only reason I can see Halo 3 being number one is the time between a good release for japan, which is happening quite soon.
