The "Coolness" Exploitation

1) People go and find that unique look and the visionaries who created it

2) After they find the product they exploit the product (say, some t-shirt) and hire the 20% of the "trend setters" to wear this product, put in advertisements, get it on tv shows, get rich people to wear it, ect ect

3) Then they mass produce it for everybody else

4) After everybody starting wearing and buying said product it gets old and out of style and basically kills it

5) Repeat steps 1-4 and you've got the cyclical motion of marking to teenagers.

Note that this applies to fashion and just most stuff.

ads are so smart it gets the watcher to believe that they aren't getting wound up in the ad. its fascinating!

"passing it on" the knows of....yeah....stuff.

The only thing worse than conformity is conforming to anti-conformity. Decide things for yourself; don't base opinions on what the crowd thinks, and don't base opinions against what the crowd thinks.

I just wear stuff that coordinates with the whole outfit. From shoes to earrings.

i dont really join the 'army' that the fad creates. in school, they look like clones running around wearing almost the same thing. and i dont want to be no.23752 so i wear what i want, not what they want me to wear.
