Basically the American's sophmore is the Brit's year 10-11.
It's a standardized test that americans take in order to qualify for scholarships or get accepted into colleges with. Pretty much a general intelligence exam, if you can call it that, because that's what it measures. It measures reading skills and mathematical skills. There's a writing portion, but that's just been recently added.

we're supposed to take the PSATs(which we did)

it was alright, except one of the math sections was freaking hard

Agreed.

Also, the mathmatical portion of the exam isn't even about how much you know about Math; you still need to know the fundementals but you can solve basically all of those questions using basic math principles and effective reasoning/problem solving.

The thing is actually kind of easy, its time length needs to be longer.

yeah, they give you like 25 min to answer like 40 questions
