Read up on Nietzche's philosophies. He says that we should not base our morals upon the word of an omnipotent dictator god, but on love of life. Religion is not selfless; with religion good things are done in the belief that you will be paid back somehow, be it by a miracle or by escaping hell. I am an atheist, but people have been surprised because they claim that I am one of the kindest people they know. I don't do it because I believe I will be rewarded; I do it because I want this world to be better, and because I want to feel better about myself.

Theres no proof God doesnt exist and theres also no proof he does. If there were proof that he exist then it wouldnt be faith, and God wants us to have blind faith in him so u r never going to be able to prove he exist. Also humanity has never gave conclusive evidence that he doesnt exist theres y millions of people still go to church.

I don't understand why people do shit like this. I don't go around tell you that your being ignorant for not going to become a Christian. I don't see how atheists can whine like this. Most of them haven't even read the bible enough to understand it. Then I hear y'all telling me that I should hop off your jock and leave you alone. And I am all, "What the heck?" If you don't understand the idea that most of the faults you point out in others, are the same faults you have, then I suggest you read Catcher in the Rye.

Sorry, if you feel like that, but I'm not aiming this at you personally; I'm aiming this at those that call us narrow-minded and Satanic (It has happened). I've taken Bible Studies for a year, so I understand the Bible half-decently at the least. Any venom in my posts is not meant for the average person, but for those religious "Crusaders" that bug me.

i believe and i keep it to myself that way i dont need to hear any contrary disscussion from other religions or athiest. I dont declare myself a christian or catholic or any so called religious group. Becuase in the end there is only one god and there are many ways to believe in god but people are so arrogant that they fail to see that there is no right way to believe in god.


And thats why there are so many athiest out there that seek proof to see that god exists. I dont need proof to believe but i dont need to be a part of any religous group to believe in god and the teachings we were given from set god to follow.

So you're non-denominational? Good for you; they're the best kind of theists in my book. You shouldn't need an invisible god to say what you can or can not do; As long as you're intent is good, then the act is good, for God can't punish you for trying to do something good in his name.

Anyways, to turn the conversation slightly, I support a lot of Nietzche's views. He contemplated that once man has realized that God doesn't exist, then an Ubermensch, one who is able to rise above Christian morals and create new morals, will create a new set of morals: One that is based in the love of life and not in fear of the retribution of a tyrannical God.
