I predict Tsunade will get a message from one of the frogs and run or somehow teleport herself to his location. From there, I really do hope she doesn't get hurt. I mean, she's a Sannin, but....for God's sake, look what Pain did to Jiraiya! And he's the better overall Sannin. I hope she'd be smart enough to not actually engage Pain in battle, just to see what he can do, and create some sort of large diversion to grab Jiraiya and get the hell out of there. Maybe she can even somehow recreate his arm.

On his way to Sasuke? Are the routes connected? Between the Uchiha hideout and where Jiraiya's fight is taking place, which I think is the Rain village? I may be wrong.

well i think the rain is rather close to konoha i have to check but if i remember it too jiraiya pretty quick to get there.

yes i checked amekagure is fairly close to konoha it is a village between konoha and otokagure leaf and sound,in fact it is in the middle of all shinobi countries which is why when a war breaks out they are the battlefield lol

here's my prediction: kishi will be an asshole and have jiraiya die without him telling us who pein is. Yea it would be lame that he does this huge fight without even learning his enemies through identity but that's what i beleive.

me too, he had a way out of this fight but he chose to stay. If he left his mission would have been in vain. He would have went back to konoha more confused about the identity of pain than before he left. now he can atleast let Pa frog know and send him back to konoha.

Prediction:
-jiraiyas internal monologue of who pein is
-jirayia lets pa frog know the identity
-pa frog goes back to konoha
-jiraiya does a monster jutsu which kills all the peins but the yahiko pein, who barely survives the attack.
-jiraiyas lifeless body floats to the bottom of the lake hes fighting on.

I predict that:

- Ma will deliver the Fuuma Pain's body to Tsunade for examination.
- Hard to say now, but...
* Jiraiya manages to survive the attk. somehow, and uses some type of self-sacrificing technique. The technique manages to take out a few of the Pain's.
* Jiraiya's slowly dies, with the Pain's surrounding him. He has a few final words to Pa, thinks of Tsunade, Naruto, etc. (basically the significant ninja he associated with during his lifetime.) He also answers our question in his final moments, the true identity of Pain (what he is to be more specific.) Jiraiya then plops over dead :'[
* Jiraiya, against all odds, manages the lethal Pain attk. and escapes from the Pains' with Pa using some type of freaky technique (I wish... x_x)
* Pain's watch Jiraiya as he suffers. I like what Mikey said with Tsunade w/Ma arriving to J's location, catches the Pain's by surprise or somethin', teleports back somewhere and heals up Jiraiya's arm (wounds.)
* Pa will use some type of technique against the Pain's to stop them... somehow. Pa still oughta have something up his sleeve (if not Pa, Jiraiya, as I said prior... or maybe both? XD)
* Finally, something dealing with Konan. Like, Konan steps in to protect J-man from any further harm (assuming he's not already dead *fingers crossed*) Ya never know, Kishi pulls out some crazy stuff. (< Unlikely though.)

^ Lots of scenarios. it just seems vital that in order for Jiraiya to survive, he needs to get the 'ell out of Pain territory - needs to get some major medical attention!

Who knows though, the ch. could possibly leave us w/out any further knowledge of Jiraiya's/Pa's turnout. It could focus a lot on the current situation Team Konaha's in or Team Hebi + Kisame/ Sasuke + Itachi's situation.

Just have to wait and see. :}

but all what we've seen is the 4 weapons attacking jiraiya's back and, in the left big image the 4 pain's bodies covering the target ...... i think they hit the body ( i don't know which one ) who was carrying jiraiya instead ..... and also i think pain's ture identity niether yahiko nor nagato .... but if he isn't 1 of them so why konan still working with him .... i think that will be clear next chapter !!

I hope Jiraiya wont die.. Hope he escape with the information heavily injured.. And he wont be able to fight as good as he could before.. Almost like Oro.. and tsunade have to take good care of J-man..

i believe the kid that jiraiyas great master the big frog or whatever was talking about that said this kid jiraiya will come across will either bring great peace or great destruction to the world is not nagato but its Naruto.

Even if the routes are connected, Naruto and his group are fighting Madara right now. I doubt he just appeared in front of them just to see a Rasengan go through his body.

As for Jiraiya. I could see Pa using some kind of jutsu to sacrafice himself to save Jiraiya. In the process, he tells Jiraiya to get away as a last request. That part where Pa was telling Ma that he would be back home for dinner, kind of seemed like it was like a farewell in a way. Some what like what Jiraiya had with Tsunade before he left the village. This could be a legitimate way for Jiraiya to live.

Jiraiya is pretty much dead, there's almost no way he's going to survive. If he manages to escape, he won't get far, and he'll die alone.

I think Jiraiya is caught in some type of pseudo-genjutsu.

Because, let's face it: he's up against the rinnegan. An opponent that seemingly knows random shinobi Jiraiya fought against? When he was on a journey - ALONE - to right his novel, and travel the world? Neither Tsunade nor Orochimaru went with Jiraiya to write his book, that's for sure.

So - who would be with him, to collect the dead bodies after Jiraiya fought them? The toads?
No, I don't think so.

I think the rinnegan user (who appears to be Nagato, but if it was Nagato, and Jiraiya had been exclaiming that for some time, why would he act as if this, "I KNOW WHO YOU ARE NOW" was so surprising?) has access to Jiraiya's memories.

Unless Jiraiya's had this stalker we don't know about, then it would be plausible to think he was trapped in a false reality.

Anyway, what I want to know is: if those are Nagato's eyes, where's his body?
And why would Konan be in this? :/
Typically, the female teammates in Naruto are caring slightly protective. (Except maybe Ino, but she's hot, so she doesn't count.) Why would Konan support the "murder" of Yahiko, and then supporting Nagato's usage of his dead body?
