It makes no sense. In Ch 365 when Karin uses Sasukes sweaty clothes to fool Kiba why does he act like theres nothing he can do when they can just split up like they did when they first started looking for sasuke. There was no need for naruto to make shadow clones. And when naruto finds Itachi why do they show the bird with Sasukes clothes on its leg like Naruto knew where the scent was. Kishimoto tries to hard to make the reader think and its not working

Naruto used Tajuu Kage Bunshin to search randomly. He did not know where the scent was. He just used a bunch of clones to search the forest.
He found Itachi. The bird was accidentally there. The thing is, Juugo could have find out what happened since he can talk to birds. He didn't mention anything to Sasuke. He probably did not talk to the birds after that moment.
It's not that illogical.

If you want to complain about logic, ask yourself why didn't Hidan stab Shikamaru through his head instead of stabbing himself, even though he was 1 meter away from Shika. Or stuff like that.

Well using the shadow clones makes sense because you do not have to split up your main fighting force, thus reducing the chance of a small team taking casualties needleesly. Also it seems logical to send a large number of clones because when the clone disperses it return the information back to Naruto. The bird part was more of a calculation than anything; It was probable that out of 500, or however many clones, one of them would find the bird. So would you rather they send Kiba, Hinata, and Sai to chance upon Itachi and Kisame in the woods. It would be a senseless slaughter.

Naruto probably searched in the right directions based on Kiba's descriptions. The whole Team didn't split up because then they would face the whole team Hebi in a one against four disadvantage. Naruto's Tajuu Kage Bunshin covered every route the scent went, something the whole team couldn't achieve since there where more birds with Sasuke's scent than Konoha nins. So, Naruto came up whith the best possible solution at that point, while before there where no clues where to search, the team just tried to cover up several areas with their Nin-dogs. Now Naruto's clones cover up a smaller area and are also directed by Kiba using the mental link between the shadow clones and the original.

Remember Kiba's sense of smell is better than Kakashi's hounds, therefore if they split up, they would be on a wild goose chance. Naruto made shadow clones so they could check each area that Kiba smells a scent, eventually a Naruto would check out each and every location that Kiba believes trace might be. Once Naruto disperses the shadow clones or they get destroyed, all knowledge would be sent back to Naruto, so they'd pinpoint his location, and it worked. That piece of clothing was scattered to get Konoha off Team Hebi's tracks, Kiba probably told Naruto to have a few shadow clones search east, north, west, you get picture. Juugo did not talk back to the bird I would assume.

Well, every manga has it's own logic.
For example, it wouldn't be logical to see a character drawing a pistol from nowhere in Naruto or a normal shinobi flying in the air like a bird >.>

i don't know the last fight he kept a cool head, he sent in a few clones first to see what the enemy could do. then made a plan of attack. even yamato was saying to kakashi that its a different naruto
