Actually, pretty sure it shouldn't. Because I wasn't using it as a proper noun referring to a particular god. I was referring to a generic single deity. So, it'd be like me saying "Thank him," or some shit. I wouldn't capitalize him, right (assuming I'm not talking about the Christian God, which I wasn't. They always capitalize all that shit, but I'm not Christian so I don't follow those rules. ^^)? This isn't any different. : )
