Okay, in a previous thread I talked about my opinions regarding Sasuke obtaining the Mangekyou Sharingan or not. I don't believe he'll obtain it, but what about the source of power Sasuke craved? Surely it has much more to do with his training. I believe the Cursed Seal is important, but we are still not getting the full picture maybe. Before the timeskip, Sasuke followed the power from the cursed seal and train under Orochimaru. In this thread I will talk about that source of power.

Kimimaro is the most important factor for this thread, as his abilities help support my reasons. We noticed that the cursed seal not only increases the user's chakra, power, and speed, but those who have an advanced bloodline limit are able to better make use of their unique abilities.

Take Kimimaro for instance, in battle he used his bone techniques to wreak havoc on his opponents, but once he enters the cursed seal state, he is able to increase the amount of bones he draw out and manipulate. In the higher levels of the cursed seal state, Kimimaro was able to create bones from his body on an amazingly wide scale. Abilities in which he most likely could not have accomplished on his own strength.

Now this is where I make my point.

In part one, Sasuke barely was able to control the cursed seal, so he ended up wasting lots of his chakra while at the same time, placing himself in dangerous situations.

In part two, Sasuke seems to have gained great control over the cursed seal, allowing partial and full transformations when need be. Now if the cursed seal is able to substantially increase the powers of an advanced bloodline limit, what could be said of Sasuke's Sharingan?

Sasuke stresses that his Sharingan sees through all, and it has been hinted by Madara that his eyes will surpass Itachi's, but what has Sasuke gained through his three years of training, in regards to his bloodline limit?

Well a power that Sasuke could not grasp on his own strength is something I'm hinting at. A more powerful and advanced Sharingan, based on the path he has chosen. Not the Mangekyou Sharingan, more like a Cursed Sharingan.

Just imagine if Sasuke could use the power of the cursed seal to evolve his ability to master his own bloodline limit. Perhaps the eye experiences some sort of transformation, like the three tomoe turn into flames and forms together, to give off the look of a Cursed Sharingan or matching the cursed seal. This Sharingan is more similar to the regular Sharingan, it would just be more beefed up of course. Imagine how well Sasuke could see with this type of Sharingan, or imagine what genjutsu he can cast a break.

This Sharingan will not be deemed a version of Mangekyou, as this type of Sharingan is exclusive to Sasuke.

Right now I have to develop a price for using the eyes I suppose, but I guess it will not have to be the losing of eye sight, as that would be something Sasuke would want to avoid, at least in my opinion.

I'll take opinions and suggestions as usual.

I still think there is room for Naruto later, but Kishi states that Sasuke's importance in 2008 will take priority for now, Naruto has to wait apparently.

But I think a more biological change for Sasuke's bloodline limit due to the cursed seal, may be possible than him having the Mangekyou Sharinga, but that's just my opinion.

I think Kimimaros better usage of his Bloodline Limit comes from the bigger amount of chakra he had when releasing the seal. More Chakra means you can use jutsu that require bigger amounts of chakra, so if anything, Sasuke would be able to use MS more often... if he had it.

Very interesting theory, I really think you're on to something here. And I don't think it would be unfair to Naruto at all. After all, when Naruto uses the toad-key and gains complete control of kyuubi + learn flying thunder god jutsu he will probably be invincible. Sasuke could need some extra juice to go up against Itachi/Madara.

This eternal sharingan is wreaking me...

I always considered the Cursed Seal as some form of mutation. I believe the cursed seal grants more than just a power boost and speed. The cursed seal may give the user an increased amount of chakra, but it also drains it amazingly the longer the form stays active, so it is kind of like a double edged sword. The cursed seal level did allow Sasuke to draw upon a darker chidori, so it grants more than the usual boost of chakra.

That's true, although if the cursed seal can affect a bloodline limit, that would be partial evidence. Higher up on the page, we see that Kidoumaru gains a third eye once he enters cursed seal level two. And comparing Kidoumaru to a spider, it would be assumable that third eye, would be an advancement in terms of his bloodline limit. That would give us some proof, that the cursed seal allows the users to get more out of their bloodline limits and take it steps further.

Of course there is a strong chance that something like this won't happen.

The Cursed Sharingan? Mmm, when you put things into light like that, it kind of sounds like it may be something that leads Sasuke down a dark path later on. Maybe turning evil. His cursed seal certainly is a bit different. I mean, could Kimimaro's CS have contaminated Oro's mental realm the way Sasuke's did? Sasuke totally mastered the CS forms. I really doubt he wants MS now, yet, he'll need something even more powerful for battles ahead. His normal Sharingan simply won't cut it. I think an evolved Sharingan, based on the CS, would be pretty cool. I just hope it's not something that's a double edged sword, like the CS is in general. Too much usage of it makes the person lose themselves. I hope using his Cursed Sharingan, assuming something like that happens, doesn't advance the losing himself process, making him evil.

Also, it's not a big deal if Sasuke gets further powerups. >.> By the time something like that happens, naturally, the others will have had powerups also.

well... like some here said, it does sound like Sasuke is getting more power-ups. But if he wants to defeat a MS with a non MS Sharingan, then he better have something up his sleeve, like a Cursed Sharingan, if not his "that" jutsu. Or else it'll be clean Plot no Jutsu for Sasuke to win the fight.

so yah, pretty good theory. It's an explanation for Sasuke to be able to defeat Itachi.

I wouldn't go to say that his sharingan would evolve as you have suggested, but I do believe that there is a reason for his crave for power and his sharingan abilities being enhanced. I think that the increase in his power from the curse seal and training over the years (along with biological inheritence) has led to him unlocking other abilities of the Sharingan that others did not have. But it only resides along the same lines as what teh sharingan originally was said to do - see through ninjutsus. So his abilities to see through Deidara's attacks and such are all just advanced tactics his sharingan being able to see the secret to the ninjutsu attack. As for him seeing into others minds and copying jutsus that he sees in their memories (such as with itachi and Oro confrontation) that could be something he actually trained to do so. We don't know if an uchiha clan member can actually train to enhance their abilities in different ways. Like the Hyuuga clan, with Hinata using her clan's abilities of releasing chakra to whirl about their body as a shield. (although it was a filler) using the ability to extend her chakra in that unique manner could be the start of a new trait specific to the Hyuuga clan. The same could be said with the way that Sasuke entered Oro's mind and copied a jutsu from seeing it through his memories. I say that because there is no way that Sasuke just knew how to that jutsu that Itachi did as well. oro would not have shown Sasuke how to do that jutsu out of fear of it backfiring on him with Sasuke using it on him too. So Sasuke had to train and make his sharingan unique to do things with it that have not been shown to be done. (just a speculation, but plausible I believe)
As for his source of power and craving for power, I think it reverts back to when we were first awakened about the CS by the sound four. Remeber that they said that the more one uses it and stays in the level 2 state, the craving for power and thrust of the beast grows stronger. We have seen Sasuke use it quite often. I think the same principle stands for partial transformations as well. So I think his craving for power is a result of him continuing to use the CS more and more. And then couple that with his clans cursed blood of wanting more power due to the sharingan and their lineage, and his will to not be like his brother that isn't good.... you get a guy that is confounded with trying to gain power to obtain his goals, but not be taken over by the drive to gain more and more at any cost.
