Main character status aside, has anyone seen any similarties between Goku/Gohan, and Sasuke/Naruto?

Goku: Tons of PnJ (as I said, main character status aside...), is the show stopper of the series, dies and still takes down everyone, isn't supposed to be stronger than Gohan after the Cell Saga, author gives this character everything and pulls things out of his ass due to fan service....

Sasuke: Tons of PnJ, is a show stopper, seems to be able to take down certain ninjas he normally shouldn't, isn't supposed to be stronger than Naruto later on (not saying he is, but some people say he arguably is), author gives this character everything and pulls things out of his ass due to fan service...

Gohan: Is supposed to be stronger than Goku later on, is supposed to be the main protector of Earth, got hardly any PnJ, even when he reached his peak (Mystic) he was still somehow outshined by Goku at every turn due to fan service towards Goku...

Naruto: Is supposed t o be stronger than Sasuke later on, is supposed to be the main protector of Konoha (later), got hardly any PnJ (especially since Kishi just can't give him a real 1 on 1 fight with no interference), even when he reached his peak (4TK) he was still somehow outshined by Sasuke (he did actually manage to kill Oro, yes yes, deathbed, we know...) at every turn due to fan service towards Sasuke...

Before I get a ton of replies with 'yeah but Goku's the main character', as I said, main character status aside...

The thing is, when you make a charachter as awesome as Goku, it is physically impossible to make someone/thing better.

Now with Sasuke it's a different story, only due to the fact that the series is still on going. Also you would think that Naruto will eventually be stronger than Sasuke seeing as the series is named after him.

Then there was no point in DBZ's author having Gohan end the Cell Saga the way it did, and having Gohan, in the end, surppass Goku and become Earth's new protector. That was his goal, but he didn't go through with it because of fan service.

The difference here is goku lost matches he wasn't suppose to win like cell as for frieza he flat out trained his ass off and we have proof and the dying of krillin triggered that SS effect.

Goku also lost to master roshi like what twice he get's his ass kicked near inch of his life.

AND WHEN THE AUTHOR WROTE THAT HE WAS OUT OF ENERGY IT MEANT HE WAS OUT not pulling some ki out of his ass next chapter no he was outtt.

Sasuke whom admitted to putting all his chakra in dragon fire to set up his "that" and then itachi saw he had no more chakra because sharingan can see flow and he was out his cs even went out.

And now he magically sprouts chakra outta his ass and i am surte kishi will have a nice "explanation" for that as he does for all his gay ass saves.

gohan was weaker then goku plain and simple mikey goku defeated kid buu ss3 mode while mystik couldn't beat super buu and was outsmarted.

Goku reached all saiyan levels ss4 would boliterate gohan and then later goku was turned into a dragon the eternal dragon so i see no way in hell gohan can keep up past ss3 to keep up with ss3 he will be lucky.

Naruto defeats enemies with barely and plot and when he get's it it's not as pathetic as sasuke's and kishi never contradicts what he says with naruto he contradicted every word for sasuke since part 2 started.

He is letting fandom kill off his manga. simple as that.

As for power.

goku was surpassed by gohan hell everyone was surpassed by him for a while but gohan sortly after reached his limit goku went beyond and beyond that's all there is to it.

same with sasuke he will reach his limit once he get's or never gets mks hell he may be at his limit already while naruto keeps growing and growing

some people have greater potential nad both naruto's and goku's were higher then there opposites.

You know, I didn't actually mean for this to turn into an actual DBZ topic, just some comparisons here and there. But, you do realise that Mystic Gohan was beaten down and outsmarted by Super Buu 2, right? Goku was afraid to fight, and even stated that he and Vegeta couldn't do jack to even Super Buu 1. The same Super Buu 1 that Mystic Gohan beat the snot out of.

yes but goku never went ss3 against s buu 1 and they couldn't do much he was invincible in that realm. had he went ss3 buu would still be alive the only way to win was pull those fukers out which made buu more powerful for some odd reason.

The goku went ss3 and still couldnt' do it he needed SB to finish it off.

Naruto =goku of naruto world in terms of potenial

sasuke = the gohan that surpassed everyone for a short time

But later on goku=naruto kept growing and growing.

Btw the goku of naruto in terms of everything is Yondaime lol just to point it out.

Yondaime? In the sense that they're both dead in the end, then yeah. Also, why do you even mention SSJ4 and Goku becoming a dragon? XD Filler.

@Mystik: Yeah Kishimoto is a huge fan of Toriyama and actually focused a little bit of dbz into Naruto as well.

That same Goku mentioned how he could have beat both Kid Buu and Fat Buu in SSj3 mode, Toriyama sucked when it came to explainations. He wanted to end DBZ at the frieza saga, never once has he mentioned that Gohan was suppose to be stronger than Goku. Gohan never loved to fight like his dad, but he still had some freakishly large power level even as a toddler. Gohan had potential which could surpass his dad's but he never used it, simply because he didn't like fighting, he never reached his full potential unlike Goku who kept wanting to excell at martial arts.

Also, Mikey you probably don't know this but Toriyama really fucked up dbz because of his bosses, the power levels go out of hand even for him to catch up to. Hell he wanted to stop at the frieza saga, but that shit went all the way till GT. Here's an example.

Goku states he can beat Fat Buu if he really tried in Super Sayain 3.
Goku tells vegeta "oh I could have defeated Kid Buu on SSJ3 but I thought I should leave some fight for you"

Now, Kid Buu was suppose to be stronger than Super Buu 2, and 1. So how the hell can Goku keep up with Kid Buu, but not Super Buu 2? Honestly the storyline for dbz sucked. The only thing good about it was the action, theres just too many plot holes.

I don't see the similarites at all, the reasons you've pointed out aren't correct. Goku won the few fights that he won in the series through hard work.

Frieza vs Goku = trained his ass off and got pissed off SSJ 1
Goku vs Vegeta = Trained his ass off and almost blew up his body through Kaio Ken and Monkey Vegeta stomping on his body lol. if anything he barely won that match if it wasn't for the help of his friends he'd be dead.
Goku vs Buu = Goku used a spirt bomb, reason? He couldn't beat him alone.
Goku vs Genyu = Goku over powered them, reason? They weren't that strong

What other fights did he win? Lol, Goku hardly really won any through dbz.

There may be some similarites between DBZ and Naruto, but the ones you named aren't it.

Sasuke has PnJ like no tomarrow, that's his forbidden jutsu and he'll keep it till the end of the series. Kthxbaibai

didnt you read about kishi's biography? his most influence mangaka was akira toriyama the one who create Dragon Ball. before he got famous with naruto....he always like to draw like akira toriyama. akira toriyama is the biggest inifluence to him.

similar:

Goku & Naruto = yellow hair, massive chakra/chi, evolve (goku = super saiya, naruto = 4 tail demon fox), personality (goku + naruto = eats a lot, hates porn, always gets the best guru/sensei) and still a lot of resemblance.

Vegetta & Sasuke = black hair, from a great clan/blood line, full of vengeance, always tries do be the best from all

Edit: Um, Goku had yellow hair only as a SSJ. >.> His base hair color is black, like Vegeta's and Sasuke's.
