Y does Susuke relate to the CurseSeal

why does susuke have to depend on the Curseseal? when the sharigan is known to be very powerfull already via madara and Kyubii himself? Am i in the impression that susuke is weak and only has power when he uses the curseseal...

i could relate this to naruto as well as why he uses the kyubi's power...but its naruto and he can!!!....hahaha...

Sasuke usually uses the cursed seal to get himself out of certain situations. Not entirely to fight.

It's like the reason anyone uses anything when they fight; they think it gives them an edge or an upper hand. So far Sasuke's Curse Seal has saved his ass on a few occasions (vs. the Sound Three, vs. Yoroi, vs. Naruto, vs. Deidara), so he's assuming it's all powerful with a slight side effect of internal damage. Also, Sasuke's Sharingan isn't all that special when you compare it to Mangekyou Sharingan. As for Naruto using Kyuubi's power, that isn't always conscious. When he gets pissed off it kicks in.

A ninja must make a tool out of anything they can possibly get in order to succeed in their goals. His cursed seal is no exception. He didn't even volunteer to take the bite, so he is forced to make it work for him which he has quite a lot and for quite some time. Be mindful, w/o cursed seal, he wouldn't have made it to the time skip. And I have given some thought to it and I concluded that 1TK Naruto would have killed him if he didn't hold back (in a what if case)

The CS is a powerup. Why do you think Orochimaru spent so much time on developing it? Why would Sasuke NOT use it? If you are a soldier going to a war, would you not take weapons? As mentioned, Sasuke wasn't given a choice with the CS either. If he didn't have it, he would have found other ways to grow stronger and compensate. But he has it, so he uses it.

It seems to me that this thread was made to spark a discussion between Sasuke fans and Naruto fans.

Like someone mentioned CS is a tool and it's up to the user if he/she wants to use it or not. You could say the same thing about many of the shinobi in the Narutoverse.

Naruto = Kyuubi
Madara = EMS
Itachi = MS
Sasuke = CS
Kakashi = Sharingan
Pein = Rinnegan
The list could go on and on and never finish lol.

Because he has to... It had been stated that frequent use of the cursed seal, stuns the growth of the shinobi. Over the past three years, Sasuke has managed to master the cursed seal and make good use of the partial and full form transformations. Due to the fact that the cursed seal is used a bit often, it is a good chance that Sasuke's normal body is not as strong as it would be, so he relies on the cursed seal to further improve his natural power beyound its normal capabilities. It is likely that Sasuke will continue to use the cursed seal, as his mastery of it continues to rise. Sasuke's sheer determination and will power, is keeping him from falling prey to it, I would assume. Maybe another reason why Sasuke enters briefly and exists is because it eats away at him, so he can't maintain the chakra loss and the personality loss, for ever. I assume there is a cost to Sasuke's power.

It's just like the case of Neiji and the byakugan. Both of them are considered geniuses but neithr of them can go through a single fight without either relying on the CS byakugan or sharingan. Unlike ninja like Lee or Shikamaru who have to rely on hard earned talent, skill and knowledge to get the upper hand in a battle (shikamaru has a bit of an advantage with the shadow paralysis jutsu but at least it's not a bloodline and it's not his key feature)

ya i agree sasuke is weak without the cs since just about every battle we have seen him in he has used it but thats his trump card he wouldnt be sasuke if he didnt use a cheap power source to boost his own

well we know that he cant be using cs2 for a long period of time because he can never return back to his original state and i guess its like a small trump card for him
i mean in ex wise
vegeta used that wave thing to get stronger and stuff

I don't think he is weak w/o the CS, since in actuality you have to be pretty strong to survive and be able to use the CS effectively (esp. partial transformation as only Sasuke, Kimimaro and Juugo have been shown using it).

I think CS is just Sasuke's power boost (not a cheap one), which many of the Naruto characters: Naruto (Kyuubi, like it or not it is a power boost), Lee & Gai (opening of gates), Itachi (MKS), Pain (Rinnegan), etc.
