Emo Was Sasuke

Naruto is 15 years old and by all rights should be a chunnin. Despite the seemingly large number of genius shinobi there are in the Naruto universe most shinobi never get as strong as Naruto and most of the ones that do have an area that they specialize in. Naruto's talents lie mostly in improvisation and deception with a bit of ninjutsu and taijutsu to back it up. For now he has no kekke genkai to fall back on *cough* Neji *cough* Sasuke *cough* and so he has to work that much harder to achieve what he has. Let's look at the original Squad 7 lineup to get a better picture of how Naruto came to be as strong as he is today.

Kakashi Hatake-This guy became a Jonin at 12! He's one of Konoha's top shinobi and Squad 7 is the first squad he ever deigned to train. It doesn't seem like alot of people remember that and its a fairly significant event in the series.

Uchiha Sasuke-Sasuke would have been a talented shinobi even if his family hadn't been killed and revenge became his ultimate goal. His drive to succeed and natural talent paired with his kekke genkai and his affinity for lightning have created a ninja whose potential is through the roof. Out of the 3 in Squad 7, he's the one who's the most obvious choice for any high level shinobi to take under his or her wing. The prestige of training such a big talent would be incredible! If Orochimaru hadn't wanted his body I think he would have come after Sasuke anyway just because of the power he was shaping up to be.

Haruno Sakura-Sakura was easily the most unlikeable character on Naruto at first because she was a vapid, self-absorbed you-know-what. However, the fact remains that she has always had a great attention to detail and a willingness to work together that can be an enormous asset in the midst of a battlefield or mission. Her compassion and respect for life might seem lame but actually make her one of the most deadly shinobi in Konoha. Those who have people who are precious to them are undoubtedly the most fierce fighters.

Naruto's identity as a shinobi was influenced by those 3 people the most and I think they made him one of the strongest shinobi in Konoha. Physical strength is easy to gain but mental and emotional strength are much harder to attain. As long as Naruto stays alive I think he will get stronger. Sasuke is certainly very strong as a shinobi but as a person he's self-centered and immature. Thats why at the end of the day Naruto just might become Hokage.

Naruto still got a long way to go until being able to become Hokage especially in the anime, but still as I said before for 2,5 years of training with one of the legendary sanin from what he shown us untill now he seems kind of weak

i dont think naruto is weak but hes just behind sasuke in power...Plus sasuke makes everyone look like puds right now. Look what he just did, by taking down yamato(anbu)sai(roots)sakura and naruto, mainly with speed

I, for one, think he has improved greatly in his strength. He may not be as strong as the Hokages, but he's definately stronger from the start of the series. =/

Yeah he's stronger, more boring, and not to mention a bit smarter than in the begining of the series. Oh and he's also taller. Sasuke's improvement just makes him look like crap right now.

Naruto has never been weak. Sasuke may be able to learn flashy jutsus quickly with his sharingan, but Naruto has always been able to take a kicking and keep on ticking. Narutos huge chakra pool will ultimately lead to him being the strongest. He can learn techniques at an unfair pace and has the power to use them on a major scale. You can only build as high as your foundations are deep, and Narutos foundations run deep.

The reason that Sasuke got so Pumped Up with Jutsus so Quickli ... Is Oro wanted to teach Sasuke every thing and Sasuke was so eager for this Jutsus and Power ....
And ... Naruto didn't get so strong because of the Kyuubi holding him Down and he spent a lot of time learning about Akatsuki .....
But ... Maybe He is so strong but he doesn't show us YET ... That at least what I hope
