Can the Kyuubi see what naruto is doing? like can he see what he does like when he eats ramen fight dances etc.

lol, you're funny. My opinion is that kyuubi's access to what happens outside is limited byt Naruto's chakra that suppresses it to some point. Or else Kyuubi would be affected by what he sees and react and make naruto behave some kyuubi style lol.

I say kyuubi can only see what naruto is doing when naruto draws too much of the kyuubi's chakra and loses control thus letting kyuubi have something to say :P

In their first "meeting", while Naruto was falling down that canyon, I remember Kyuubi sad something like "If you die, I will die also?", without any explanation on Naruto's part.
So, I guess it knows pretty much about what Naruto is doing or in what kind of state/situation he is.

I think the Kyuubi can see Naruto's actions, I recall seeing an episode where Naruto was losing and the kyuuby told him that he was pathetic, so my guess is that he's seeing everything, unless he's sleeping...

I believe that you are talking about Naruto's fight vs Sasuke in the Valey of the end. Kyuubi was mocking Naruto how this one is too week and should be grateful to 4th for sealing the Fox inside him.

My take on this situation is that the Kyuubi cannot see what is going on outside, while he is supressed (i.e. Naruto isn't using him). Supposably the Kyuubi "Chakra" ("almost") has a will of it's own, as they said in some fights-- so, the Kyuubi has to be somehow controlling it.. to a limited degree.

There was a scene in the Anime where Naruto is dying.... I can't remember where, but I think it was during the Sannin Battle. The Kyuubi says something like "It's getting dark.... Why is it getting dark?" And he starts to fade out. HE doesn't know what is going on, and Naruto didn't draw out the Kyuubi power during that battle.

So.. =]

If it didn't work this way, it would be really awkward in bed x_x

I don't think the Kyuubi bothers to see, at the very least, Naruto's day-to-day life.

The way I see it, the seal is bound to Naruto's, already large, pool of chakra. When he starts to use that up, the Kyuubi is able to see more and more of what is going on (although he can always sense it). So, when Naruto was thrown off the cliff, he was desperately calling on all of his chakra and the Kyuubi could see everything.

But, the fox is also really, REALLY bored. He seems to sleep most of the time, only waking up when he feels a lot of activity going on. So, he may just be disinterested in Naruto's normal life/fights.

Yes, that was during Sannin battle.
Naruto was unconscious at that moment but, if Kyuubi could sense everything, then it should be able to draw conclusion on its own based on all previous action. Still, it asks itself what was going on.

On the other hand, Naruto did not draw any of Kyuubi chackra while falling down the cliff but Kyuubi still knew exactly what is all about.

On 3rd hand , in recent anime episodes, on the bridge, we saw scene when Naruto was yelling at Oro and it was enough to "reach Kyuubi's ears" (so to say). Also, it is well known that Kyuubi's chackra start leaking out when Naruto is angry.

Hm, I guess that theory by which Kyuubi can start sensing things during situation when Naruto's is not in his normal, calm, state is most plausible.

EDIT: Yes, yes, I know, "calm state" is really relative category if we speak about Naruto , but I guess you know what I mean.
