I'll join. As for the question, technically we don't know who naruto's first friend is.

Because in some of the episodes, mainly the "rescue sasuke arc" Naruto was seen in flashbacks as a young kid hanging out with shika choji and kiba. And also, iruka was his first sensei, as also could be naruto's first friend. I guess you could say all of the choices. Technically naruto was also seen with sasuke in flash backs as well. But what ever. XD

As for my favorite character, Gaara. He's just totally bad ass. Nothing to it.

lol. But you can't prove that. Naruto in around episode 129+ Was seen with shikamaru, Chouji and Kiba. Playing with them and skipping classes. Then later he's waking home, and see's sasuke all alone, and snubs him. Smiling yet, but still. That shows he hardly got to know sasuke, before he met everyone else. Sasuke was his first rival, and bestfriend. But not nesicarly first friend ever.

I saw in one of the flash back on one of the comics and one of the episodes and it said Sasuke was his first friend!
