is there life after death?

I am doing a survey for school on people's views on what happens after death. Like, do you think you go to heaven/hell? Reicarnated? Just curious, it's for my report and i have to have others views on it. I put this in the deabte section because I think this would also make a good debate. ^_^
Anyone want to help me out on it?

I believe there is life after death.

If there weren't, then this life is meaningless.

Hmmm... For my religion, there is life after death. Like what Sant0ryu and Swtvi3tboi08 said.. It's probably heaven or hell.. And there's something called "the judgement day"

I believe in life after death.
Dunno about heaven and hell, but you go somewhere when your dead.
And I believe in reincarnation too..

I don't comply, please expand on your notion. Why does it cause this life to be meaningless?

Cool

I'd say yea, to a spiritual life, but not a life like reincarnation. This idea comes from my beliefs in the BIBLE. In my opinion, I'd say yes.

Although I'm Catholic, I question the possibility of heaven. The prospect of existing until the end of time scares me greatly. I prefer the concept of reincarnation. I think that we are all reincarnated as a different being whose personality is determined by the occurences in our previous life. It sounds like the most logical and comfortable of the options.

To answer this we must first define what life is:
The interval of time between birth and death

Among others, this seemed the most accurate. Now must define death:
The act of dying; termination of life.

So if death is the termination of life then, no, it is biologicly impossible to have life after death.

Though that is a litteral term itmakes sence.

Yes that does make sense if you are referring to the current state of life, but I think what he is talking about is an "after-life".

So in that sense, is there an after-life?? That question we may never really know. If there is, you will know, if there isn't, you will never know.

Do I believe in an after-life?? Yes i do.

When you think about it, reincarnation isn't technically an afterlife. It's its own thing. Also, doesn't life after death sound oxymoronic? If heaven exists, then life is just a test to get into it. But in that sense, one should just worry about pleasing whoever's in charge there (God in most religions). If that's the case, why doesn't anyone try doing that? Only priests 'n' such do, and they don't always do it right. I'm confusing myself now...

*cough* ghosts? Ghosts are intangible ideas that cannot be represented by matter. Besides, if you saw a ghost, how would that be proof of an afterlife? It doesn't necessarily mean that it was a human. If ghosts exist, they aren't necessarily dead people. Ghost can mean many different things.
