The spam zone exists precisely for these things, Shino. People openly address other people here to point out shit all the time. Yet you step in to stop it this time why? The only time it's justified to stop threads like the one you closed is when multiple threads about it is made, something that you provoke when you closed the thread in the first place. If the people want to complain, you're not supposed to silence them with fucking fascist power ("MAKE ANOTHER THREAD, SEE WHAT HAPPENS DUN DUN DUN"). That's what the FTP thread was for. Come on, give them a vent.

Now, the case that these people are presenting is understandable. You say he's only a mod for graphics shit, but one day into it and he's off infracting people. Personally, I don't think he's suited for a role as a moderator simply because half the shit he reported as a normal member never really constituted any action. This is due to his type of mindset; he wants to act on everything possible to issue a kind of importance to himself. This comes off to other people as "strict" and generally pisses people off. I thought we were in a new age of relaxed moderation. =\

I don't recommend a short leash, I recommend complete restriction to moderating anything other than SOTW threads (not that he's exactly qualified to do so, it's just that he's the most willing to do so). I understand you're too lazy to make a usergroup for him, but that doesn't stop you from simply saying "ok no infractin' people brah."


It's not like I hate the guy, either. I don't think I've ever really gave him shit for anything. I just don't think he's the type to moderate, even with your close attention.

Oh, also, I wasn't online to see the RNB thing.

This one is actually purely my fault. I had asked him if I could infract if needed.
When I checked the reports, i asked Shino if the infractions I gave were
fine in which he said 'yes'. He was actually happy I had given those warnings
/infractions because they should have been given already.

As for what you said about people making threads bitching, I agree. Spam
zone = w/e. Which included bitching. I see no problem in people complaining,
as long as the flaming is kept fairly low.

Well I'm going to sleep now. So I'll see any replies to this in the morning.

The infractions you gave are pretty much alright, except you have an idea that a post is spam if it doesn't add anything to the topic. I say as long as a post is related to the topic, it's not spam, unless it's in the debate section.
