Jiraya had no previous info on Peins techniques. So obviously there was a chance of him losing. Itachi knew all or most of Oro's techniques hence being able to fight him with ease. Also he has Sharingan, clearly Sharingan is equal in terms with rinengan. Look at Sasuke he's already developed a new use for it. So that being said I think Oro had a tougher time against his opponents. Also remember Jiraya went in prepared for a battle against Pein. Oro was unexpectedly attacked by Sasuke.

1. No...Manga had stated that RINNEGAN is the most powerfull Eye-Jutsu...Thats mean stronger than Sharingan...

2. Jiraiya intention just to gather Info about Pain, not go directly to kill him...

3. About Sasuke, of course ORO is stronger than him...

Lets look at the facts:
Rinnegan is the blood inheritance limit of Rokudou Sennin (Six Realms Sage) and his descendants. Rokudou Sennin was viewed as the original shinobi and his Doujutsu was regarded as the most venerable of the three great Doujutsu. As the original shinobi it was said he created modern Ninjutsu. The Rinnegan was regarded as a god of creation when the world was racked with chaos and as a weapon of destruction which could return everything to nothingness. Usage of the Rinnegan was said to give the user mastery over all six forms of chakra nature manipulation.

The true extent of the Rinnegan abilities are currently unknown. Rain orphan Nagato was an inheritor of the Doujutsu, and used it unconsciously when he was angry and afraid. He entered into a berserk state which allowed him to defeat a much stronger foe. It may be this same ability which allowed him to never lose a battle as "Pain," the leader of the Rain Village rebel faction and Akatsuki. Nagato in the guise of "Pain" also has the ability to switch between six different bodies. Each body that Nagato shares also wields the Rinnegan. When Pain summons the other host bodies to fight alongside him, each Rinnegan host will share the same vision. Meaning what one Pain views, all his other bodies also view, even if their vision is damaged. By increasing the number of Rinnegan host bodies on the battlefield, Pain will increase the number of viewing angles and eliminate any potential blind spots.

Nagato's ability to switch between these host bodies probably gives rise to the "Transmigration" name. This is a cycle of reincarnation and rebirth seen in Hinduism and Buddhism. Dude it is a a FACT that then Rinnegan is the most powerful Doujutsu. So you can keep think the Sharingan or the Mangekyou Sharingan is most powerful but id dosen't change the fact, that Rinnegan is the most powerful Doujutsu. And why do you think the Sharingan is more powerful? The Rinnegan can do more things and more powerful thinks like ability to switch between six different bodies.

Look what happened to this FC! Bloodkid went and turned this into a downward spiral and now we is taking ourselves down! Our members are fighting with themselves and aren't even talking about Jman anymore! Don't accomplish Bloodkid's goal and send this FC into chaos! Now, do you think he ever took Naruto to help him with research?

about the rinnengan vs sharingan debate, ai believe it was said that the rinnengan was the most illustrous of the 3 great doujutsus. So the phrase most powerful isn't used, it all depends on how you interpret the meaning of illustrus.

Rinengan is the most powerful, can someone show where I said Sharingan is more powerful. I said it has same potential, which doesn't mean same power but potential as in its use to be able to defeat higher tier opponents and shit. Plus we don't know the full length of the Rin yet as we've only seen one encounter where it has been used. Sharingan has been used multiple times with multiple effects.

1. Tobi transportation of seperate parts of his body.
2. Sasuke causing the guy to confess location of 8 tails host.
3. MS
4. L1, L2, L3 effects of normal sharingan.
5. Tsukuyomi
6. Ametaresu.

Like I said Sasuke is still learning more, now even more under Madara. So it's got potential to reach Rins level. He is now the most gifted Sharingan user after aquiring some of Itachis powers. His powers will only increase, so that it seems believable he can take down Konoha. He has not been finished being bred yet.

Also my whole reference to Rin and Shar wasn't to start a debate about them, it was to compare how both Oro and Jiraya had to take on higher tier opponents. So those fights are not a plausible counter arguement on wether Jiraya is stronger than Orochimaru.

No,i dont think he took naruto to help him in researches..like we saw..he always sent him to buy or do something while he research cuz he likes to get some action with the ladies while he doen that.
