But yeah, if you don't want to have to deal with your pets' deaths, don't get pets. Besides, salamanders are small and replaceable. Now, if you accidentally killed your dog or something...

quick as possible and checked if she was alive.....she wasn't....
I then nearly cried, but then hoped for a chance and put her in a cup of
cool water. It's been about 10 minutes and she's still...'dead'.....

The reason I put this up here is because I feel like I'm about to cry so
hard. I've NEVER fucked up with my pets and now I ended one's life.
She's always in the log though, she never eats much, and she doesn't
make noises so sometimes i forget. I just need some advice of what I
should do right now....
My mom's at work so I don't know how I will explain this to her, I'm baby
sitting my step dads mothers, nephew, and I feel shocked with sadness
and hatred towards myself. If anybody has anything to say, please don't
go flamming at me, I need something to make me feel better.

EDIT:15 minutes now...i think she's gone for good..... :'(

EDIT2:It's been like half an hour. It's still 'dead' but I left it in the cup
of cool water because I still have hope....
I know, it's virtually impossible for it to come back because, it died from
a death of heatstroke. Meaning, it's body reached an uncontrollable temperature
and "shut" itself down. I just know it'll be ok....I know it!....i hope...

EDIT3: I'm not feeling super horrible that much because I now remember that
my mom told me that they live about 2 weeks in the wild. Last one I had one and it lived 6 months since I cared for it well. This year it live about 15 days which is still more then it would live on it's own, but the fact that it's MY fault is eating me alive.

That sucks. I remember how I felt when my dog died.

Basically, he submersed his pet salamander in hot water and it died. He felt like he was going to cry because he just killed his pet (Read: He definitely cried like a little girl. XD), and wants people to cheer him up.

I was going to try and cheer him up, but what do you say to someone who KILLS HIS OWN PET? THAT'S HORRIBLE!

Oh, wait, I got something:

At least now the poor little guy won't have to live with a NEGLIGENT PET OWNER anymore!

My first pet, a turtle, was eaten by a raccoon. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO CRY ABOUT! (Note, I did not cry when I found out this information. I simply vowed to destroy the entire raccoon species.)

Apparently little spoon does, but the dog was definitely asking for it. Poor little salamander probably never did anything to anyone. ; ;

plus my dog used to slobber
everywhere
and i couldnt walk around my own house
with out shoes
in fright i might
step in a huge pile of slobber

I have three dogs, and they're all awesome. Yesterday the all got in an epic battle with each other, and my deck was completely covered in dog blood. I was like, HOLY SHIT, AWESOME!

I'd probably kill them if they slobbered all over the place though.
