That's hard to say. Jiraiya has sage mode, but Orochimaru has over 9000!!!!!!!!!. JK Oro has over a thousand forbidden jutsu. Oro might have a jutsu that counters every jutsu that Jiraiya has. Jiraiya might be able to overpower Oro's jutsu's with his own senjutsu power up jutsus. It really is a toss up. But if I can to pick, I'd say Oro. Jiraiya said Oro was stronger than him.

I would say Jman. When did Jiraiya say Oro was stronger than him?

Jiraiya looks stronger, and he seems to have more up his sleeve than Orochimaru did.

to throw a spanner in; I wonder who would win between Orochimaru and Pain?

@ mafrog...intresting question..i don't know how its never came to my mind..but i think oro can do better than jiraiya against pain..not cuz his stronger or anything..but cuz he can use Edo-tensie jutsu to bring back shinobis to life that can assist him in the battle and make him equal to pain...imagen if he summoned the 4th 3rd 2nd and 1st..pain will eat dust.

What an interesting fight that would have been. But who knows - Kabucimaru is still around. He's bound to show up eventually, and he will have to fight someone. I think he'll be after Sasuke - for revenge!

Orochimaru does have those 'raised' shinobi, he was pretty tuff. But in the end the 3rd did beat him... so I don't know if Orochi could beat Pain.
