There's so gonna be a clip on Fox News of FG looting shit from ruined buildings after the hurricane. Like, cans of beer in his back pocket, holding a TV, etc.

Only thing even remotely unsettling about Ike is the fact that it's hitting at the heart of our oil industry... =/

Me and my friends are pissed it didn't hit closer here. All we have is random rainfall and a cloudy sky. =( I like hurricanes, staying for Katrina was fucking awesome. You see real, natural power then. And well, what can I say, we've been through so many it's doesn't get me riled up.

And well... I'd have liked moar days off from college. XD

That's actually, kinda, really fucked up. There has been some pretty good damage inflicted, and any loss of life is unsettling. Maybe you just have thick skin or something, 'cause I didn't expect that of you.

People die in hurricanes... property gets destroyed... this is nothing unsettling, moreso its to be expected. Of course I feel a little remorse for people who may lose their lives or their loved ones... but eh, it is also a choice to stay for a hurricane. So... yeah.

Yeah, seriously. We don't get much in the way of horrificly bad weather here, but it's not like I turn the other cheek when there's a report of someone dying in a blizzard. Exactly. If I had any control over hurricanes or natural disasters, then I'd make it so NO ONE DIED. But I would leave the property damage aka... schools and buildings of labor. lulz. 8]

It's cool... I got a little irritated by your response, but that's just because I have lived through Katrina, and I do have friends in Biloxi and Gulfport who lost people they loved. So.. it's not like I'm standing on the outside looking in and laughing at the situation with Ike.

But hurricanes are beyond my control and I do get excited during this season. It's almost primal, I think. lol. Sorry if that's offensive. XD But I'm not kidding, I like standing outside my porch during hurricane winds. It's simply awesome...

And it is also true some people stay because they don't have a choice, and rereading my statement you quoted, I think it was worded pretty bad and carelessly. xD
