perhaps Itachi's gift is his intelligence because he knows Naruto is a bit lacking in the intelligence department.
And maybe perhaps something to counter the sharingan (tsukuyomi and perhaps Amaterasu), cos he knows Naruto will end up fighting Sasuke

I doubt it will affect it that much, if it affects it at all. I don't see how the two would be related.

didnt itachi say that hopefully you never have to use this power so it wouldnt make to much sense if it was an ms counter if anything i would think it is something that could potentially harm him so it would either be Kyuubi control or the radical guess of using MS since it eventually takes away sight ehh but hell i could be wrong so dont post bitchy comments back saying that i am wrong even though i prolly am

To me that means it will probably kill the MS user that activates it. Itachi probably said that assuming Naruto would have to use it against Sasuke. And it would badly hurt or potentially kill Sasuke.

Like I posted before, its a gift specifically designed for stopping Sasuke in the event he attacks Naruto and thus attacking Konoha.

I theorize, like before, that it is a MS/Amaterasu counter or a way to have Sauske be repelled from Naruto's mind in the chance he tries to again.

It's most likely a protection against Sasuke's powerful sharingan genjutsu, as it's currently the only thing Naruto has no defense against.

I think its like sharingan or its like a power boost or lets him control the bijuu and use it against someone like sasuke or madara cuz if it waz just to activate when he sees the sharingan then the power wouldve already been shown to us because he saw kakashis sharingan during kakuzu fight
