Hey!!! Kakashi needs to reveal his past!!! and further more... he needs to tell naruto about his parents!

I agree, however, it might be important for Naruto to find out this information with Kakashi dead. Just like Sasuke found out about Itachi's true motives after they fought.
There must be people who know about Kakashi's past, or they might introduce someone new who will have that information, madara for example may know. likewise with naruto's parents.

Just like jiraiya, kakashi was naruto's mentor and tutor so he has to be killed off. Naruto needs to grow up and losing people to lean on is vital in this process. Besides Naruto can kick kakashi's butt now, his part in the series is over.

No... until Naruto learns to strategize, Kakashi's role's not over. Kakashi's important to the whole village, not just Naruto

no... until Naruto becomes Hokage material i think kakashi's got a role... and even if Naruto was Hokage, Kakashi's not in the manga only for Naruto... there's so much that he can explain that many other characters can't or it'd be really awkward for them too...

plus Jiraiya's big bang, and Itachi dying by the hands of Sasuke and transfering some power to Sasuke, and now that's all followed by Kakashi, who dies cus of a nail?! Kishi either wants to kill off all the popular characters or maybe Kakashi's just not dead.

Kakashi can't teach naruto to become hokage material... he taught him all he knew about ninja tactics and techniques, but he has surpassed Kakashi. There's nothing left for him to teach naruto.
There are some things you need to learn yourself before becoming hokage. Kakashi needs to take a step back from naruto and let him, sasuke and sakura do their own thing. This is going to happen, therefore kakashi is no longer needed in the series.

While you are 100% right that Kakashi is no longer need in the series plot wise, I think Kishi needs to keep him there for his fans. If you think about Naruto as a manga instead of Naruto the story, you will see what I'm saying. Kakashi has a humongous fan base. The loss of this character will result in a butt-load of people that will either stop reading the manga or stop liking it. And as an author, I don't know if Kishi can do this.

Hey Kishi said probably Tsundae or Kakashi's gonna die (2nd person close to Naruto after Jiraiya died) and come on more reasons to leave Kakashi than to leave Tsundae esp. now that Sakura's a full fledged medical nin

Anyways, if he his dead I would be really disappointed in Kishi. Kakashi deserves a better death than this. Not just because I'm a fanboy or something stupid like that, but because he has been around since I think the 2nd chapter. And he is one of the most important characters in the series. He should get a better final battle.

But yea even I agree Kakashi deserves a better send off than the one he got (if he's dead that is) this is the only reason that makes me think there is a possibility he is still alive.
If he is alive, then he will certainly be killed off soon, for reasons I have stated about a million times already. But he does deserve a better send off.

Yeah, I 'm not against Kakashi dying, as you said he is no longer needed in the story. But to go out like this would suck. We should at least see what else he can do with his MS.

Naruto doesn't need Kakashi anymore so I agree that he doesn't need to be in the manga plotwise. It would be sad to see him leave though.
