Agreed, there are too many unanswered questions about Kakashi for him to die. Plus he is the only person really left to tell Naruto about Minato, unless the toads know a bit about him. Which even if they did, they wouldn't know as much as Kakashi.

That's true, but a surprise could come at any moment (thus being called a surprise). Nothing on such a scale as an Akatsuki member actually attacking Konoha has occurred before.

I hope Kakashi survives, but there doesn't seem like much hope does there?

No he's not dead. He fainted from lack of chakra. Kakashi fainted twice from lack of chakra during The Zabuza arc and saving Gaara arc. He will end up hospitalized.

Yep, that's what will happen. Unless he comes back from his talk with dad more energized. I think he may learn something important from this talk. And maybe he will unlock a hidden strength he had.
