a dark day for the dark knight....

i wouldn't mind if they brought in like a terry mcginnus character like in batman beyond and wayne coaches him, i was able to put up with that....hopefully its just temporary...like wayne goes missing for a few months / years or he is confined to a wheelchair temporarily...

batman in this case they mean bruce wayne is going to be gone for awhile. maybe 12-15 issues. Dick grayson which was the first robin now nightwing will take up the mantle of batman. batman is not dead. Bruce wayne is just missing from issue 681. hes not dead after he defeated the black glove. you see nightwing holding the cape and cowl so all signs point to him being the next batman.

BATMAN WILL NEVER DIE. stupid grant morrison....

Gimmick.

I'm pretty sure DC won't kill off its one and only interesting character. He's either in hiding or going to come back via Superman or Green Lantern.

Hey, didn't they do this in the 90's? Against big muscle dude? Oh wait, they didn't kill Bats, they just made him paralyzed. But, yeah, major super hero gets killed off once a decade or so. Sells like hotcakes. Let him rest in peace for a little while. Then, bam, he/she's back. Except for Jean Grey. They kill her like, every other issue.

Not to be mean but Terry was a joke. He was an amateur fighter who got put into a powered-up batman suit out of desperation. Terry even said it himself in his prime he wouldn't have given him a chance.

Anyway back to topic, I agree that it should be Nightwing. He has been around the longest and was almost on par with batman.
