Sonic Games

I saw one on tv that I liked but I forgot the name. The other night, I bought Sonic Riders Zero Gravity. Opinions about Sonic games? The one I like best is the one that recently came out.

Re: Sonic Games

Keep it Old School man, Big sonic fan here, been playing since it first came out, Almost every sonic game made, with the exception of Zero Gravity, haven't got round to that yet, oh and the new one, i got it for my bro for X-mas, but anways back to the point

the Ol' Sega MS/Genesis Games where the Bomb, Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles where Tops on my list, the newer ones are ok, but they suffer alot of the same problems, like the lack of feel for speed like you had with the original ones, stupid camera angels and movement and other stupid things that re-occur, the PS3 Sonic game i have was ok, but it still feels like a let down when i really look into it, (I like it, that just might be my fanboi'sm talking) but it just doesn't have the same feel as the old 2D sonic games which in my opinion are unforgettable,

Sorry if i've rambled on i've been drinkin all night and im starting to feel it,

Re: Sonic Games

I have to agree with you. They changed some things up since the classic games. Zero Gravity has a lot of camera movement, and, personally, I think the new one you got for your bro is better or some of the classic. They sort of made Zero Gravity into more of a racing game than a "Sonic kicks ass" game. The good thing is that they have alot of the characters but what are the characters without the cool martial arts they had in the classic games.

Re: Sonic Games

Sonic games are of a consistently inferior quality. Except maybe that new BioWare RPG on DS, I might check that out.

3D Sonic was good on Dreamcast, but after that, the series was raped. Also, they tried to give Sonic games a "cool and edgy plot". What the fuck.

Re: Sonic Games

Let's not forget the newest addiction to the franchise:

WEREHOG SONIC.

....Really? Is this the best Sega could come up with?

Re: Sonic Games

i got sonic unleashed on my wii and i think its quite good
i never grew up actually playing the old school games but i always watched my bro play it on the ol' sega console

most game makers always try make changes i guess to appeal to more players-at least the concept rarely changes
