he is a little more than that. i would suggest reading the manga again but i give you some small detail from what i remember.

Buggy the pirate started out on Gold Roger's ship along side Shanks. There he stole and ate by accident one of the devil fruits. Years later he fought and was defeated by luffy when he first met Nami. A few arcs later he nearly got his revenge on luffy when he was going to behead him on the place that Gold Roger died. I forget how Buggy got captured but it was afterwards. He seems very goofy at first but i believe he is a very underestimated character. (especially in the beginning of One Piece)

I know this is a manga chapter discussion. But. I just recently started watching One Piece, and I have to say I finally know how awesome the series is. 4Kids ruined my initial experience for this show. But now, total addict! Episode 75 atm! I can't wait to catch up with everyone so I can have real discussions! ^_^

Question, do you watch 4kids tv still for one piece or the subs? Also like i've said before the manga is a great way to catch up and the link i provided has all of them so far. Also if i recall right there is about 5 fillers in the episodes that don't matter as much. The only one i even enjoyed a little was the dream arc. and it's because everyone lost their memories and you saw the straw hats being test in a unique way.

Nope, watch the subs. I should have known because 4Kids took over the dubbing it was going to be stupid and nothing like the original. But, I watched it and figured the 4Kids version was what the original version was. Suction cup guns, bad jokes, plotlines that made no sense. I was unaware how much editing they did to the show, so i assumed the "Navy" was armed with kid weapons. And figured that One Piece was actually geared towards children in Japan. And I'm not a big fan of kids shows.

I actually got turned onto One Piece after watching a Loki Labs flash animation detailing all the stupid things 4Kids did to One Piece. Shanks stole the show, he was a "Friendly Chimney Sweep". Check it out on youtube, it's funnier that way. It's called One Piece...of crap.

Sorry for the double post, but, since I'm not a active member of this part of the forum, is there a thread for One Piece where I can just let loose my opinions and character favs on so I don't have to create a new thread? Or can I just let loose on this thread and get it out of my system?

well for future reference you shouldn't double post if an admin sees it you'll probably get points. just edit your original post next time or make a new thread.
but ya i hear you no or just a late release is a real pain. let loose here or in a different thread, i'll definitely join in.

I would make a new thread. Name it One Piece Discussion and Predictions or something since the Bleach Section has one. Maybe even suggest to the owners/admins of NL to put a One Piece Section?

Normally I wouldn't double post, if the thread was a "popular" one. But since this area of the forum isn't as lively, and this thread was dying, I did double post. But I know what you're saying, and I appreciate you looking out for me. ^_^

However I will edit the One Piece discussion, thread if need be, in the future. And thanks all for creating one to let me discuss my new found appreciation for One Piece. ^_^
