you make a point, but I would have to say that in teh next chapters won't really show teh answer to that because we can all agree that Jiraiya in sage mode was faster than Sasuke and most of others. But with Pain's 100% field vision, that speed was cancelled out. After that first move that showed his speed to blind one pain, the others kept an eye on him that allowed for compensating for the lack in speed against Jiraiya. Pain showed that multiple times in their battle. So this time with 5 pains, Naruto's speed I don't think will get a better show since we got to see this last moved he did.

I just dont think naruto is eqaul to Jman best in HM. Naruto has better control of NE, but because naruto has too keep his chakra blanced with NE. I just dont see naruto being at Jmans level.

Think of it this way. To say naruto is equal to Jman in sage mode. Naruto would have to have even more chakra than Jman. Since SM is a blance of chakra/physical,spiritaul energy, plus the 1/3 of NE that balances with the two that gives the ability boost. I mean, its Jman the sennin! Naruto has huge chakra reseverves/stamina, but I seriously doubt its higher than Jmans.

Thinking about that made me tired lol. Its too late to think that hard.

I agree that it would be hard to believe, but I think its safe to say that Naruto has more chakra than Jiraiya. And HM/SM are the same thing its just probably a different name or atleast what is referred to Sage Mode when having the two hermits on his shoulder. I will say that I believe Jiraiya to be more skilled with Sage Mode since he had more experience with it, but Naruto probably has more chakra making him atleast needing to draw in more NE to balance out. With more chakra would make Naruto more powerful. I am not saying that naruto has surpassed Jiraiya, I mean if that was the case then Naruto surpassed kakashi when he was a child and still had more chakra than Kakashi. All i am saying is that if Naruto really applied the use of mastering manipulating his chakra better with such a great supply, then he definitelywould be able to put more chakra into his movements that would make him faster.

Now on the topif of Jiraiya and Naruto in SM/HM, that is a serious debate on who is more powerful and may be answered in this fight or not. I only say that because Jiraiya really did defeat 3 of Pain and then battled him with half his Sage ability when it was all Six. Naruto completely destroyed one of the pains but hasn't faced the same combination that Jiraiya did. So it will be hard to really tell and I can't wait to see if kishi writes crap for this fight or actually does a decent job (hopefully the later). But when it comes to Naruto and Sasuke, I would have to say that whether Naruto is equal to Jiraiya or not, his sage mode speed is definitely faster than Sasuke's speed. Simply because he has more chakra to apply to his movement

I Respect your oppinion, but I dont think naruto has more chakra than Jman "not just yet". Just my oppinion..

As for narutos match against pain. Its already differant since pain was fresh against Jman and not in this fight. Pain has ransaked(sp) the village then use his life energy to squash it "literaly!". I guess what Im trying to say is that narutos fighting a weaker pain than Jman did. Not to mention all the batlle data gathered on each body.

Im thinking if naruto beats all six, at full power, hes surpassed Jman. But I dont see how thats possible since narutos already bashed one and the others havent recovered. Lets say five instead! If naruto can beat five at full power then I think naruto has surpassed Jman.

i can see where you are coming from. That's a fair way to judge if naruto would've surpassed Jiraiya. Personally I don't think he has, but as I have said many times before, this is Kishi's shortcut to not really showing us how Naruto is surpassing people execpt in power alone. He keeps having other strong people say that Naruto has surpassed them but really hasn't shown any skills that show actual skill surpassing like Kishi has done with Sasuke surpassing people. Instead he gives Sasuke weakened people to fight but still gives sasuke surpassing skills of some of them. Naruto he just has other people say Naruto has surpassed them but it is only proven in teh form of how much power Naruto has shown rather than skill or fighting ability.

i think that surpassing thing is only being taken at face value...by surpassing i dun think it meant that naruto has become more stronger and powerful than jairaya or minato...its still far way that naruto can beat any of them...it only meant that he has become more proficient than others in few things like rasengen..he was able to add his elemental chakra in in (which minato didnt)...he is better at sage mode than jairaya... but this never meant that he was more powerful than jairaya or minato....jairaya and minato must have known more than 1000 jutsu...can u name how many naruto knows...???only few as compared to them..

once again - sharingan do alows sasuke to se narutos movements, so he will see naruto moving to him and his hand moving in position to hit him but is sasukes body strong and fast enough to counter narutos attack is the real question, i bet sasuke will be able to counter quite enough of narutos attack but he cant win against naruto for now - i mean naruto achieved something almost imposible, to say that sasuke is still better in chakra control or speed is kind of stupid, for now atleast

i think that naruto does have more chakra and stamina then jiraiya, and that it was already said in manga from frogs or jiraiya himself, and even if jiraiya did have more chakra than naruto still there is no way he would have more stamina

First off naruto does have a bigger supply then jiraiya in chakra this can be seen when he trains with rasengan jiraiya sees his chakra and says "such chakra amazing he burned holes in his palm with it" then he smiled...

Naruto pulls off 1000 clones more then once a day and keeps going after he is a machine.

As for who is better with sage mode naruto is plain and simple he doesn't need 2 toads to help him focus and gather it like jiraiya did the less good at sage mode u are the more u look like a frog jiriaya looked some what froggy naruto only has the eyes.

Fukasaku said"now that u have mastered sage mode to some extent more THEN little jiraiya we can teach you frog techniques...

Naruto was able to leap 100's of feet jiraiya wasn't able to leap that much. it also says in bold letters from kishimoto.

Naruto is better at sage mode then jiriaya no point in arguing the authors words... zzzzz

Evrything shown up till now with naruto training points to naruto being faster thats all there is to it naruto wasn't that far from speed in sasuke in the beginning sage mode raises your abilities to crazy heights not so little that he just equals sasuke lol.

Pain is faster then sasuke its been shown he can also see high speed and counter jiraiyas base speed orochiamrus base speed sasuke's base speed kakashi's are all equal jiriaya in hermit mode hd his speed way higher as well yet pain was able to see his attacks.

5 bodies were gazing on naruto not one could react fast enough to stop him.

I agree with a portion of this, but I gave you thanks because you actually attempted to back yourself up with examples which I can appriciate. Its a good change of pace. So thanks!

But no, I still think the two are relatively on equal grounds now on terms of speed. Its just one of those things that Kishi will write the story however he see's fit - and as near as I can tell, he's been writting the story to keep the two rivals on equal grounds. They've always been mirror images of eachother with albeit different styles. I just dont think theres enough solid evidence to justify your claim however.

Naruto is more naturally suited for Sage Mode because of the reasons pointed above, but its no doubt that Jiraiya was the more experienced Sage. Naruto may be faster, stronger, and may have perfected Sage Mode in every possible way imaginable, but that does not make Naruto the more experienced Sage. Jiraiya's wiser and has an array of jutsu far greater than Naruto's own.

But overall, Naruto had to of surpassed Jiraiya in some way, otherwise facing Pain would be meaningless. Naruto has other gifts. Naruto mastered the jutsu even the 4th Hokage had problems with and took it steps beyond comprehension. Naruto's knew extended min-rage aerial wind ninjutsu puts Naruto far above the 4th's ability to form manipulation and nature manipulation into a powerful S-Ranked ninjutsu. With Naruto's raw talent and sheer power of ninjutsu strenght when it comes to dealing with an S-Ranked nature based ninjutsu, Naruto is among the best.

Just imagine if Naruto could control wind jutsu aside from the wind manipulated Rasengan. Naruto may indeed have a few new manipulated wind techniques to demonstrate his abililty to master the elements to extreme levels in Sage Mode.

This puts him far above Minato and Jiraiya in that sense.
