Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

I think the original MGS is up there with the greatest games of all time. That's already 10 years old, and I still enjoy playing it. Now, ten years down the line, I might enjoy playing MGS4, still, but I will definitely still enjoy MGS1. 20 years, man.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

This has more depth and story than every Metal Gear Solid in history. The character development is near perfect letting you get attached to certain characters for certain things. The action and game play is almost unparalleled and is the flagship game for the console. Graphically it's one of the best games I have ever seen. Then has an ending that will plunge your brains out with it's massive cock.

9.6/10

Oh, shi. I concur.
I have it installed at this moment, actually.

Psycho Mantis, Gray Fox, Sniper Wolf, Liquid, Ocelot, and fucking RAVEN.
Fuck, they were awesome.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

Every game on the MGS series was great IMO, but i like MGS1 the most, i bought the pack with MGS1,2 and 3 last year and MGS1 is still great even if the graphics are crap now. Never played the first 2 though (MG1 and MG2) or the crappy remake of MGS1 for the Game Cube.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

MGS1 is clearly the best one. I have to applaud MGS3 on its introduction of the whole real time thing and survival system. MGS4 is really easy, although the story was brilliantly laid out. Also using your footprints to lure enemies into CQC attacks was awesome in MGS1. Makes you wanna say...

Just as planned.

"whose footprints are these?"

Dumb soldiers, if they knew who was waiting for them arround the corner to kick their genetically modified ass.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

I'd buy a PS3, if it let me play all the MGS games in one place.

But no, apparently backwards compatibility isn't important. Seriously, if I could get hold of a PAL PlayStation 3 with an emotion engine, hell, even software emulation, that would sway me a bit.
