Yeah, but it's about the same Fahrenheit, they're equal at ~-40.

What the FUCK? -44 Celsius?
I am fucking freezing when it was -20, and it's the worst frost I had to suffer.

My dad is in the RCMP and currently doing relief duty in Grise Fiord (the red dot) and it's colder here than it is up there right now. It can get down to around -78, though.

I don't mind the snow most of the time, it can make for some good photos. It's only the cold that I hate.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

After a few layers the cold isn't bad at -20. It's different at -40. A few years with winters like that I can do just fine with a light spring jacket in -20.

A few weeks ago we got about 6-8 inches of snow in one day.

Snow tires are amazing. I can drive through snow right up to the undercarriage. Not particularly safe, but possible.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

That was the new van.

I was driving the Bawdon girls home at the same time they were plowing Main Street, so there was a huge mound in the middle of the road so we drove around for a bit to check it out.

I ended up unable to turn right because the plow was there, and didn't feel like turning around so I turned left onto the wrong side of the road, built up some speed and plowed right through the 2 foot high, 4 foot wide pile of snow to get to the other side of the road.
