Nothing in the game is as disturbingly satisfying as making the buffalo go the way of the dodo. Feels kinda good, mostly bad, man.

Time for a new topic then: Me working overnight inventory prep shifts and making an extra 10% for 3/4 of each shift. Fuck yeah.

As of the 1st of July I'm being moved to a different company, still part of the major holder but will be in a different building, they put me over there temporarily to help out, but they love me that much they've asked to have me and since all they're getting more filipino's across the road to take aussies jobs I said OK and they didn't have a problem with it as they'll just get another guy who isn't as trained / skilled as me and they can pay alot less to do my job.

Plus the guy I'm working with is going to put forward an Idea so that we get a 3 day weekend every weekend, it will entail me working longer hours during the week but hey I'm all for that if I'm going to get a whole Monday off.

They asked for people to do it, and I said "yes." It'll only be about an extra $130 for the month or so that I'll be working those shifts, but it also means I don't have to deal with idiot customers.

oh of course, that extra 10% is night shift loading, my bad, it's been a while since i've had to deal with night shift, I haven't done it in about 2 years....2 years next month actually.
Pity though as I love it, so much cruiser than day shift and like how you don't have to deal with customers I don't have to deal with bosses.

I take it Inventory prep shifts are the equivalent of what we call night fill, just stocking the shelves at night. cruisey work?

Nope, it's actually even less work: I hop on the orderpicker with one of our magic Home Depot computer carts strapped to it, count things up high in the steel and print off tags saying how many of each thing is in each box.

that thing is awesome, I'd probably end up with it in the tool shop with it trying to customise it into kind of mech suit
