Now, now. All house animals kinda suck. You have to waste money on food and medical services for them. And you have to clean up their shit, which is just degrading. Who is the master again? They chill out at your house all day doing nothing (If you're lucky! They could be shitting on your floor and tearing shit apart.) while you go out and earn money that goes to feeding and housing them, come home and feed them, and occasionally scoop up their shit and bathe them and crap like that.

If I had slaves, I wouldn't make them clean up my shit. So you're like, lower than a slave. To an animal. Awesome?

Idunno, a good (big) dog will save your ass if someone breaks into your house. It'll either go apeshit and attack the shit out of the guy, or make a hell of a noise to give you time to pull your 12 gauge shotgun from underneath your pillow and blast the shit out of the dude.

Either way, dogs square their debts.

Cats are useless as fuck. Plus they're unfaithful.

Can't say I believe you. I have never lived in a house that hadn't had one mouse at some time. Of course, my cats don't let them be there long.

Still trying to decide if the deadly one took out the rat we found under some wood in our backyard or had it died from other reasons. Or both. Yeah - big fuckin' rat. Wasn't the most pleasant find.

I dunno. I'm way tougher than my dog. So if my dog can take the guy, I can definitely take the guy. And if I wanted something that can make a lot of noise, I'd get a security system. Since I don't have to be it's bitch and clean up it's shit and whatnot.

And I dunno if barking at some dude in the rather unlikely event of some guy being dumb enough to break into your house while you're home 'squares up' you being his personal man-servant for life.
