Jaime isn't one of my favourite characters, but I do respect him - and Mib's defence of him is pretty fucking indelible.

So long as he eventually gets something done to him to wipe that smarmy smirk off his face, I'll be happy. He doesn't have to die, mainly because I think he'd go down in a duel and just win through glory, but getting his balls cut off or his arms severed would do the trick.

I want Joffrey to suffer though. That guy's absolutely unmanly. He does sometimes carry good military principles, and yeah - he would make a good dictator, but he's completely overestimating his power. I can't wait for Stannis Baratheon to arrive next season to fuck his shit up.

My favourite characters are probably Daenerys (awesome character development so far), Tyrion, Jon Snow, and Jorah Mormont. Arya is of course adorable.

I guess they're all popular anyway though, so out of the more obscure characters that we've seen so far I really liked Barristan Selmy. I hope he's back in the next seasons. I mean he was the shit - he's a old reputed badass who when dismissed by the new king totally flung the shit back in his face, with no fear for his life. All the manly characters like Ned have shown respect for him as well.

Other than him I am already eager to see Stannis Baratheon, just because he sounds like a magnificent bastard of the highest order.

There are far too many excellent characters for me to even bother naming any, I can't consider any my favourite.

I mean, I'm gonna read the first book fully now, but I'm gonna wait till I see season 2 to read the second book.

Finally watched episode 10 - really felt like they were trying to find enough scenes to fill up a full hour. What the hell was with Pycelle and the whore? That was unnecessary. (Yeah, I know the meaning, but it still wasn't necessary.)

I could go around saying my favourite characters and talking about life and death, but I'm corrupted by 4 books and not willing to give it all away. Still, the Starks and the Lannisters are great families. And, if you think this cast is impressive, there are many more great characters coming... many, many more.

I hate the fat kid that is with Jon Snow, his voice is so damn annoying specially at that important speech from the general or whatever from the Night's Watch. I was waiting for an arrow or a zombie to shut him up.

Sam Tarly is what he needs to be. The Wall requires all types.

EDIT: And, other than some character development choices that I didn't like from Martin, I would say Cersei is my least liked character, even over Joffery. I understand the reasoning behind Joffery (made progressively clear as the books go on), especially being a teenager, but it is Cersei who lost control of him and *removed because spoiler*. She really is a detestable character.

And yeah, I agree with Tzu. Old kingsguard guy is a manly honorable hero. Also like the "No further, horselord" dude. And Ayra battle teacher dude. And the other minorish character I think might turn out pretty cool is the Hound. Seems like he might not be that much of a dick with that scene with Sansa wanting to toss that pussy Joffery off that bridge.

Definitely going to buy the other books when I finish reading the first one and plow through that shit. Don't think I can wait till next year for the new season. Also going to buy all the tv series when they come out. Really like this shit.

Ah, Barristan the Bold. I'm thinking up a Servo character for PoF based on him - a little older (hope he doesn't mind, but other than me and RNB, there just aren't older guys here... which is probably understandable), but still able to take just about anyone without any problems.

Yeah, Barristan is in my top 5 as I said. Well, probably. There are too many characters. Fuck it. And Yoren did a cool thing for Arya. Like that guy. When I think of it, hardly anyone from the Watch is a bad character.
