The 20th anniversary re-release of Nevermind is something cooked up by Universal so they can sell more Nirvana t-shirts to kids who weren't around for grunge in the first place.

Wake me up when it's the 20th anniversary of Kurt's death. That's a day worth marking.

In any case, I'm noting the anniversary not to help Universal sell more - by all means, go out and steal that shit, I sure as hell did. Burned it off my brothers and then I think downloaded it a few years ago for my computer. I was around for the release and for me, it is something worth recognizing, particularly with how music is done now.

By the way, you want covers? Came across this a while ago. They aren't all there anymore, but some are fantasitc (Of Montreal's might be my favourite), some hilariously bad and some... just are. (Don't you dare go off on Tori Amos. Paul Anka, however...)

First off, nice pick Artan. That concert is still one of my favourite live recordings ever. Although, I remember people saying afterwards it was the moment that Cobain turned the page and was going to move on with life. Not so much.

Second, despite it not being the musician you enjoy, I saw nothing wrong with Swift's cover of Lose Yourself - she actually shows talent and morphs it enough so it doesn't seemed force... unlike Beiber's. And as bad as Billy Rae's child is at that cover, I think what annoys me the most is her utter inability to let go and head bang properly. She couldn't even choreograph it to look natural. Poor.
