When you cry or get upset, or feel any type of emotion towards a character in a story, that USUALLY means the story is a good story.

Not to be sexist, but girls are way more emotional about it than guys.

Im so sentimental i cried reading the spoilers of hinata getting hurt and even got teary eyed writing post about it.. man i suck lol
