Itachi vs Pain who would win

Do u think if itachi was fine and could fight his with his full strength instead of just being sick. Do you think he could have taken on pain??

Itachi, if he wasn't dying all he'd have to use is Susanoo and would be safe from Pain's techniques.

Would be an incredibly close fight though and if Itachi failed to use certain techniques he would be defeated very easily.

Itachi uses eye based genjutsu while Pain has the most powerful eye. Meaning Itachi's genjutsu wouldn't do shit to Pain. Pain wins enough said this should be in the vs section anyway.

Edit: The moment Itachi desides to use Amaterasu his life is over. Pain can reverse the flames path causing them to hit Itachi himself. Or better yet stop the flames & pull Itachi into them.

yes,Pain can master all the techniques but Itachi are more experienced in use
btw Nagato can't handle all the 6 pains perfectly (if you see the fight between Naruto and Pain) even one of the pain are defeated by that kid Konohamaru ,most of the time he focus on Deva path

the pupet has its brain fukt-up but he continues to do the pupeter's biding as the one in control didnt felt shit. he might have seen the genjutsu (tivo eyes), but other that that nothing.

Ok Ron Nagato is older then Itachi which means he's more experienced at killing then Itachi is. Where you got the idea that Itachi has more experience in anything when compared to someone who was able to use every element as a pre-teen is beyond retarded. Also what the hell does Konan have to do with this?

They both are good fighters but i have to say i think Pain would win also cause all he has to do is Chibaku Tensei and catch him in his pokeball. He wont be able to break out. lol >.<

Maybe.
There is a chance Itachi could burn a hole through it.

@popion yes "genjutsu afects the target." Itachi does this through eye contact, something Pain relies on. The frogs attacked the ears and that worked just fine.

Pain wins this one hands down. Not only does he have the six paths, but they each have their own power, and if he stabbed Itachi with one of those rods it would skew his chakra. Pain has too much in his arsenal and sure Itachi has his eye techniques and Susanoo but the fat absorbing Pain would be used to advance upon Itachi and remove that threat. Pain is a damn beast and with the six paths genjutsu would be ineffective. And if Pain can blow up a village he can dispatch of Itachi.
