Master of desert/Master of the desert
Hi, I've just one question.
A few days ago I read a Story about a very rich man, who wanted to buy all deserts of the world and some people in the Story were kidding him by calling him master of desert. Here's my question, Is it "master of the desert" or "master of desert"? I have to translate this Story from German to English, but I just don't know this detail. ![]() Could anybody tell me the right form? |

Re: Master of desert/Master of the desert
I think it's something about his parents..(he didn't ever live in the desert)..
I havenīt read the whole story yet. It's 225 sides long. But I just need to know wether it has to be "master of desert" or "master of the desert" , because I'm confused. My English teacher says it has to be "master of desert" and an other English teacher says it has to be "master of the desert"! |

Re: Master of desert/Master of the desert
It's "master of the desert". Or, if it's plural, "master of deserts". "Master of desert" is grammatically incorrect.
