IMO nagato feels sorrow for letting his best friend die. And from that day on nagato vowed to protect yahiko no matter what. So, to keep his promise to protect his friend, he will give the last of his chakra to save him, however, it will kill him "nagato". And yes yahiko is dead, but nagato isnt the most rational person now is he!

I predict Nagato will finally die after forcing chakra into deva so he can deflect the RS, thus showing nagato does still have some humanity after all.

Doesnt matter if Nagato gives yahiko what chakra he has left. I dont think thats the only thing keeping him from dropping. I think yahiko might need constant chakra.

Eh, People were talking about how he will forget and she will die and whatnot. But he remembered and Hinata is getting medical attention!

But it makes me wonder... If her wounds werent fatal does that Pain gave her pity or Hinata did something to reduce the damage? I can't help but wonder...

Anywho, color for Pain getting WTFPWN'D eh? That will be lovely, but I want to see Naruto's message to Negato. Maybe he will make Konan and Negato believe him and then Madara appears to FAWK SHIT UP!

I think Nagato was more concerned on Naruto's reaction to it and assumed she wouldn't survive it -- it's not like she was ever in a position to kill him anyways.

Chapter 442: Knowing Pain

Deva Realm jumps in the air to avoid the Rasen Shirukin.
Deva Realm: "Is that the best you can do, Naruto?"
Naruto smiles.
Naruto: "No."
Three Naruto shadow clones climb to the top of the rock Deva Realm was in front of. One throws another Rasen Shirukin at him.
Nagato: "Im...poss...ible..."
Naruto: "THIS IS!"
The Rasen Shirukin cuts Deva Realm in half. The shadow clones dispell.

Cut to Sakura.
Sakura: "Neji?"
Neji: "Sakura-san, you have to help Hinata-sama!"
Sakura: "That's what I'm about to do."
Neji: "What happenned? We were told Akatsuki came here. Where are they?"
Sakura: "He...he ran off. Naruto-kun...he..."
Sakura thinks back to when Naruto last let the Kyuubi out. Sakura cries.
Sakura: "He let the Kyuubi take control. I want to help him, but there's nothing I can do. Only Captain Yamato can surpress the Kyuubi."
They stop by Hinata.

Cut to Nagato.
Konan: "Nagato, that's enough. If you keep this up, you will die. We must retreat."
Nagato: "Retreat?"
Flashback to Madara saying, "As leader, failure will not be tolorated."
Nagato: "I...can't..."
Konan cries.
Konan: "Nagato, please. Don't throw away your life!"
Naruto: "She's right."
Nagato's eyes narrow.
Nagato: "Naruto."
Konan stands in front of Nagato with her arms spred wide.
Konan: "I will not let you harm Nagato."
Naruto: "I...I won't...I just want to talk..."
Nagato: "We already have talked. Do you know my pain?"
Naruto: "Maybe. I don't know. You said your parents were killed right in front of you. How old were you?"
Nagato: "What does that--"
Konan: "Seven. We were both seven when we were orphaned."
Naruto: "I see. I don't know your pain, but you will never know mine. My whole life, I never knew what it felt like to have parents. I wondered what it felt like to hear a father say, 'That's my boy.' I never knew what the comfort of a mother felt like. I was...always alone."
Nagato looks into Naruto's eyes for a moment, then turns away. Konan cries.
Naruto: "But, I found friends."

This next bit intercuts between Naruto and Hinata.
Naruto: "People who excepted me for who I was,..."
Sakura flips Hinata over.
Naruto: "...who cared about me,..."
Sakura cringes, but gets to work.
Naruto: "...who were there for me,..."
Sakura: "Hinata? Hinata,...can you hear me?"
Naruto: "...and were willing..."
Hinata's eyes begin to open.
Naruto: "...to die for me."
Hinata's eyes close again.
Sakura: "HINATA!"

Cut to Naruto.
Naruto is in tears.
Naruto: "We won't know each other's pain, but we both know that feeling. What it feels like to be alone. To have no one. Anyone can understand that. And that..."
Naruto wips away his tears. He stands taller than before.
Naruto: "That is how people will truely be able to understand each other."
Nagato: "...Naruto...you..."

End chapter.
Next time: Nagato's Decision.
