Pein wanted the rection to force out the fox like he said he wanted to see how strong he really was and I think Pein thought he really was the one that can get the fox. Freaking guy thought he was a god.... I wonder what that makes naruto to him in his eyes.

Chapter 442: Knowing Pain

Deva Realm jumps in the air to avoid the Rasen Shirukin.
Deva Realm: "Is that the best you can do, Naruto?"
Naruto smiles.
Naruto: "No."
Three Naruto shadow clones climb to the top of the rock Deva Realm was in front of. One throws another Rasen Shirukin at him.
Nagato: "Im...poss...ible..."
Naruto: "THIS IS!"
The Rasen Shirukin cuts Deva Realm in half. The shadow clones dispell.

Cut to Sakura.
Sakura: "Neji?"
Neji: "Sakura-san, you have to help Hinata-sama!"
Sakura: "That's what I'm about to do."
Neji: "What happenned? We were told Akatsuki came here. Where are they?"
Sakura: "He...he ran off. Naruto-kun...he..."
Sakura thinks back to when Naruto last let the Kyuubi out. Sakura cries.
Sakura: "He let the Kyuubi take control. I want to help him, but there's nothing I can do. Only Captain Yamato can surpress the Kyuubi."
They stop by Hinata.

Cut to Nagato.
Konan: "Nagato, that's enough. If you keep this up, you will die. We must retreat."
Nagato: "Retreat?"
Flashback to Madara saying, "As leader, failure will not be tolorated."
Nagato: "I...can't..."
Konan cries.
Konan: "Nagato, please. Don't throw away your life!"
Naruto: "She's right."
Nagato's eyes narrow.
Nagato: "Naruto."
Konan stands in front of Nagato with her arms spred wide.
Konan: "I will not let you harm Nagato."
Naruto: "I...I won't...I just want to talk..."
Nagato: "We already have talked. Do you know my pain?"
Naruto: "Maybe. I don't know. You said your parents were killed right in front of you. How old were you?"
Nagato: "What does that--"
Konan: "Seven. We were both seven when we were orphaned."
Naruto: "I see. I don't know your pain, but you will never know mine. My whole life, I never knew what it felt like to have parents. I wondered what it felt like to hear a father say, 'That's my boy.' I never knew what the comfort of a mother felt like. I was...always alone."
Nagato looks into Naruto's eyes for a moment, then turns away. Konan cries.
Naruto: "But, I found friends."

This next bit intercuts between Naruto and Hinata.
Naruto: "People who excepted me for who I was,..."
Sakura flips Hinata over.
Naruto: "...who cared about me,..."
Sakura cringes, but gets to work.
Naruto: "...who were there for me,..."
Sakura: "Hinata? Hinata,...can you hear me?"
Naruto: "...and were willing..."
Hinata's eyes begin to open.
Naruto: "...to die for me."
Hinata's eyes close again.
Sakura: "HINATA!"

Cut to Naruto.
Naruto is in tears.
Naruto: "We won't know each other's pain, but we both know that feeling. What it feels like to be alone. To have no one. Anyone can understand that. And that..."
Naruto wips away his tears. He stands taller than before.
Naruto: "That is how people will truely be able to understand each other."
Nagato: "...Naruto...you..."

End chapter.
Next time: Nagato's Decision.

But when she appeared in front of him the way she did he could of thought of it that t moment. pein has come be somewhat of a great fighter that thinks fast on his feet. everyone knows that Naruto is really emotional and tis could trigger the fox in coming out. is Pein not one iod the baddest guys ever in naruto why not kill some girl who just said I love u to add to his rep.

Yeah i guess you could be right. Maybe he decided to test it. Still though its odd he didnt kill her.

Lets say he did cut her throat I think that is an attempt on her life he did the same to Jman and he is now dead...God rest his soul.

Thats the great part about if thier is a god in this manga then it would have to be the one that created the ninja world what ever his name was then pein/nagato would be like his son..... lmao

Like I said last time, Naruto is not going to kill Nagato.
Nagato might even live, but I am casting my vote for death by over-exertion. Just look at him, he's in a horrid condition.

But just the same; I see this kinda winding down the way Zabuza and Haku did. It took the life of someone close to Zabuza to see his errors. But like Zabuza, his redemption came minutes before his death. So yes, Nagato will die, but I believe he will see life through Naruto's eyes. So, perhaps Konan will have to intervene between Naruto and Nagato and lose her life in the process in such a manner that; Nagato refuses to believe Naruto's way of life and attempts kill him but Konan who believed in Naruto's words steps in, and prior to dying says a few choice words to Nagato.

I'm pretty sure someone can elaborate on what I've stated here, but that's what I see occurring. Redemption and death.
