While this movie follows the epic fail that is Naruto movie plotline (he's on his third girl that would make babies with him, but he is clueless), the symbolism in this movie was rather well thought out. This entire movie seems to be a metaphor for the American-Japanese saga of WW2.

Konoha = Japan (duh)
Sky Nation = America

With the exception of the Sky Nation performing a reenactment of Perl Harbor (or perhaps the bombings over Japan), the above relationships are correct. The most notable parts of the Pacific theater in WW2 were America's flying fortress (== flying ruins thing in this movie) and P-51 Mustang squadrons (the dudes with wings).

Sure, Japanese and Americans had pretty decent navies and wingmen, but the antagonist hit the nail on the head. First, he is built like an American boxer or a body builder (very few of which are in Japan). He is extremely powerful and confident in his abilities. He even sits on a Western-style throne and says that it is built for a king's body.

Where the production team went awry is how they portrayed the Americans. First, the soldiers are portrayed as pompous retarded dicks. Second, the entirety of the antagonist's power came from causing and collecting despair, hatred, and pretty much anything else that made America symbolic to the embodiment of evil. They even went so far as to imply we would use nukes to destroy everyone (the flying ruin's boom electric/particle cannon)

The only difference in outcomes is that they make themselves appear to win the war. It's kinda like how the South plays CW reenactment and changes the outcome to having Grant sign the treaty instead of Lee.

This was not a serious "why so butt hurt" question. It was more of my way of pointing out that this movie was more than just a bunch of plot-holed jutsu and saving a Naruto-changes-life outlook of person movie. I completely understand. The whole reason we have movies is to materialize our dreams.

I just woke up from a nap where I dreamed of epic battle action that would make 300 look like a kid's movie.

Not a bash FreshGrease post here, but, who was the first girl that wanted to make babies with Naruto in the movies? The lady from the first movie was quite a bit older than Naruto, and the second had a guy who was Naruto's age, and the third had a guy who was about six years younger than Naruto. Shion was the first make babies with me girl that I know of. Or are you talking about Hinata in Bonds? Just wondering here.

US movies will depict themselves winning wars, Japan will do it through anime depiction. I don't think any nation would want to show themselves being lowly having a production team from that country. Very few look past that ridicolous fact and try to portray the story as realisticly as possible....like Rambo.

Also it's funny how Naruto still uses Rasengan but 2 new variations of it to make it seem like he's using a new move. Tornado R. and by far the worst Rasengan ever, determination rasengan -____-
