btw i realise this idea has been talked about before but chapter 450 shows some lil clue which suggests madara/tobi could be danzo which i placed at the very end of this post

tobi has been suspected to be sooo many characters: tobirama(2nd), uchiha madara, obito, mizukage and of course danzo


so why do people think he is danzo:
1. he covers the part his face which tobi reveals (sharingan)
2. danzos old, same as tobi when he partically took of his face
3.madara went all crazy because he couldnt be hokage and the 1st did...danzo has obessed to be hokage ever since the third became hokage (as in after the 1st and the 2nd, which madara tried to become hokage after the 1st and 2nd)

why danzo isnt madara
1. according to madaras story to sasuke, it was danzo and the elders who orderes the hit on uchihas so why would madara tell sasuke that which lead to sasuke wanting to kill danzo?!?!
2. madara sent pain to capture 9 tails, danzo killed the frog which was gonna bring naruto back to the village so it kinda contradicts itself.


BUT the first reason to why danzo isnt madara can be explained...here me out:
1. madara detested konoha after being outcasted and betrayed by his own clan and hates the senjus for controlling konoha when it shoulda been a mutual control between uchiha and senju

2. so madara bent on revenge (as tobi said to sasuke) ..he set the 9 tails to destroy both uchiha and senju...but failed
3. so then madara came up with another plan .. he had another identity which he used to keep an eye on konoha (danzo), danzo swayed the elders to believe it was uchihas fault so they ordered a hit on uchiha through itachi to get his revenge.
3. by doing this madara revealed himself on purpose to itachi and made him think itachi found out about him therefore allowing madara to do some of the killing himself.
4. so either way madara wins, if itachi succeded uchiha dies..if itachi failed, senju dies.
5. unexpectedly itachi left one alive, sasuke, madara then decided that he was the only one who didnt know the truth therefore he can manipulate sasuke to follow madara...the only thing i cannot explain is why madara sent sasuke to kill danzo?!?! maybe that will be revealed later..

if madara was danzo then obv he wants to be hokage for a part of his plan (we dunno what danzo has in stall for konoha when he becomes hokage but i expect is inolves sasuke).

as for why madara sent pain to get 9 tails tehn danzo stops the frog...it makes sense if madara :
1. wanted pain to rough up the village first before naruto returned therefore danzo has an excuse to say tsunade failed because of village destruction therefore becoming hokage.
2. OR he wanted naruto to train some more to get rid of pain, in chapter 450 madara said he needed another pwn to link with the statue that means pain was also a pwn ...in other words it was a pwn he either did not need anymore or he got too troublesome.


ALSO in chapter 450 madara ended by saying " i have something to take care of " then scene changes to the council where danzo appeared to try to get the title of hokage-which is what madara had to take care of..it was what madara worked towards all these years and i bet becoming hokage allows his other plans to happen....

but how did madara get to the council so fast, well madara knows so speed of light travel jutsu which zetsu said

I was just about to post this topic.

I am starting to believe that the two are the same people. One of the thigns that gave it away in 450 was when Tobi said he has something to take care of. He ended up leaving and then the scene turned to the meeting.

I don't know why this topic isn't getting discussed much.

No. Danzo's an old rival of the Third, he could have destroyed Konoha at any point if he truly was Madara like after the Third's death. It doesn't make sense.

Well according to this latest chapter, not unless they're twins, I highly doubt it. Madara has a mask showing his right eye while Danzou has bandages covering his right eye and has had it like that for the past 20 something years.

i dont see evidence that danzou is tobi in chapter 450 just cause tobi says oh i have something to care of and we see danzou claiming the hokage title after that?
that argumentation makes no sense imho. there are a lot of possibilities of what madara intended to do. he just got to know that nagato was defeated by naruto and madara knows how strong nagato was. so he might has realized that at this point naruto > sasuke and the thing he intends to do is taking sasuke back.

madara says "We will need another pawn to sync with gedo mazo" probably he alrdy has a candidate for it and thats the thing he has to take care of :P

even if madara can move with the speed of light he wont be able to change all his cloth and bandage half of his body ALONE in like 2minutes xD PLUS tobis hair´s different so he would have had to go to the barbier to get some extensions if he had been danzou. so yeah tell me how did tobi pull that off man?

look at these tell me that these are the same two people.

One Madara's has two rickles under his eyes, and Danzo doesn't.

Two Donzo's hair is longer and thinner looking.

Three if you look at Madara's face you can see a back line which appears as if it could be part of eye patch, Donzo doesn't appear to have an eye patch on that side of his face.

to me they do not look alike.

Then theirs the current plot.

lastly I believe that the author is using a Donzo as an out to make Sasuke and Naruto have a common hate.

based on the fact that danzo was shown as an anbu captain back in his days with him meeting hanzo this topic fails..

he could of course use the bandage to cover his sharingan but it makes no sense since any uchiha can just turn it off.. he could use his time space jutsu to get from 1 palce to another but then why allow naruto to stay at the mountain when he could have gotten him....

All theories are brushed aside by facts from the manga danzo is danzo...

They have different eye lines even though they have similar wrinkles around them, certainly not identical. Their hair is different, Danzou's is longer. Danzo has a wider build than Tobi's physique as well. Also the manga may not run at real-time but I mainly think that if Tobi can be here: http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/450/09/ and Danzo can be here: http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/450/14/ at around the same time they can't be the same person. Sure he could be using some jutsu, but it's just pointless. Why would he bother?

The Danzou=Tobi/Madara threads are as annoying as the Obito=Tobi ones. At least Danzou seems to be more a possiblity what with his right eye being covered up. Honestly I think Kishi is doing that on purpose just to keep us on our toes when it comes time to reveal what's under Tobi's mask. Watch, he'll end up being someone completely unlrelated to any of our predictions. I stopped trying to guess who he was until that day comes when Tobi shows who is really under that mask.
