Personally I think that the manga would make more sense if Naruto were to learn a little bit of how to control the Kyuubi's power from KB. I support the idea that Naruto will learn something good from KB!!

Also if you might remember during one of the ending credits, Naruto and Sasuke pass each other and EACH ONE has a sword.

Well EXCUSE ME Mr. Professional naruto faggot... Im sorry I have a life and cant spend it looking through hundreds of pages to find my answer. I've looked and couldn't find anything discussing that part where Jiraya talks with that toad about the 4th sealing only half of the Kyuubi chakra... Maybe instead of being a prick you can gimme a link if you are so high and mighty and know where everything is in this forum.

Well, the theory is
You know how Minato invented couple of jutsus, (like rasengan, death god, thunder god), in my opinion he was like some jutsu inventor. When he fought against Tobi/Madara plus kyubi, he realized that he can't win using his own jutsus at that time. He was probably already inventing a new jutsu at the time, that could take down Madara but would require too much chakra to preform. So Minato decided to seal the kyubi into his son, first reason to defeat the kyubi and leave Madara without his most powerful summon, and second reason to give his son a source of chakra that will make his new jutsu possible. But kyubi's chakra was too much for one person to hold, so he divided chakra into two parts, one part he sealed into Naruto and other part is probably in the Death god's possession or something like that.
After Naruto gets older, he will have better mastery over his chakra, and then he would probably gain acces to the other part. What does that mean? Probably that Naruto can get twice as strong, not.
Probably that Naruto will summon the other part of kyubi to double his chakra for a short amount of time, and then he will be able to do some kind of ultimate jutsu that will defeat Madara, or whatever.
But in return that jutsu will kill him.

Wow dude, take a couple chillaxitives and let it all flow out the other end, because as it stands, the shit's coming out the front. There's no need for uncalled-for language, even if the instigator is being a prick.

I completely forgot about seeing the whole sword thing, but it really seems like it is there for theatrical effect and juxtaposing Saskue and Naruto as rivals, friends and equals. Simply put, the sword is most likely there for symbolism.
