I agree in most cases a samurai would win in combat against a ninja. Samurai are hardened soldiers and law enforcement. They trained their mind and body on the regular for that purpose. This shit is apples and oranges though. Both of you said Ninja operate surreptitiously in the shadows. Unseen quick kill methods. If circumstances are in the Ninja's favor sure he could take out a Samurai, he is in his element. It is unfair to compare both classes so generally.
