yea yea, been awhile and all that shit.

So Smitty and I wrote a song last night, from start to finish this song took us 4 1/2 hours to write, record, produce, and master. This is based on a true story, and for it to make sense you should probably know that story.

The Story :
My roommate Ted met this girl named Brianna, and since he is my roommate it was only a matter of time before i met her. When i did we exchanged numbers and started talking and stuff like that, nothing out of the norm until one day we decided to go on a date... still nothign too out of the normal i knew that Ted liked this girl but he didnt have the guts to make a move, so i waited and waited and finally decided that if he wouldnt... i would. So i did, and then yea... the song pretty much follows what happened next. Apparently he didnt just like her.. he was completely in love with her.

The 48 seconds that I listened to sucked massive nuts.

I read some of the lyrics too, since just because you have no skill to actually play music doesn't necessarily mean you can't write.

Holy shit, how angsty and angry your lyrics are. Nothing is more badass in music then talking about your microscopic dick for 2 minutes and how you and your butt-buddy Ted suck each others tic-tac cocks.

Seriously, I don't know if you're in a band or not but you should never play guitar or sing again.

The echo and reverb on the vocals is too much during the chorus and intro. Also, the volume spikes when you are singing too much. Go in there to your recording program and normalize the track as in make sure there isn't any big spikes in volume.

we're not trying to be profesional dude... we literally picked up the guitar and free versed it and recorded it all then went back and then picked what we liked and re recorded it all and slapped it together. All the lyrics were made up on the spot and then re recorded later.

FUCKING HELL that was shit, I mean you go for the most obvious use of words it might has well have been the recorded babblings of a child with downs. You can't sing for shit and nobody gives a fuck about your social life, certainly not enough to hear a song about it. You might as well have pasted a dr. seuss poem into microsoft sam and the world would have been better off.

The echo is terrible. Why the fuck is it even there? Just get rid of that and it will already be about 50x better. ...Although, unfortunately, you're singing out of tune from the guitar. It's off just enough that it doesn't sound right. You can fix that with autotune (check out a free trial on their site). ...And hey, I'm not talking the crazy autotune effect, but you can actually hit the right notes if you use it.

The guitar itself wasn't so bad. It reminded me of Tenacious D or something. I'm gunna assume that's what you and your friend were going for because there's no way in hell this song is a serious one. This is a joke song along those lines, right? The lyrics just scream one of two things: Humor or punk rock.

I recommend taking this song and punking it up a bunch. Electric guitar, speed up, etc. That way you don't even have to sing perfect pitch and it will sound good.

yea.. we already knew before hand that neither of us can sing for jack shit, and obviously its meant to be funny, given that to you it isnt nearly as funny as the people who know the situation IRL, thats why i gave the quickest version of the story possible, to make it make more sense so you can at least catch most of the humour in it.

the part about the rent is that i have to pay rent tommorow and he hasnt paid. pretty obvious there.
