A long time ago, when Madara took a keen interest in Sasuke's eyes and stated that he believed that Sasuke's eyes would become stronger than Itachi's, many of us began assume that Madara was after Sasuke's power. Madara went on to say that soon the true power of the sharingan, the power of I, Madara would finally return, or something to that affect, further proved many of our points.

Then, with Itachi saying that now, Madara is a former shell of himself, perhaps that is indeed the case. Before, we just assumed that Itachi was just belittling him, but maybe Madara isn't really as powerful as he lets himself on to be. A few has stated that Madara might be weaker than what the manga lets on, and someone else will be the final villian, I guess that's not outside the realm of impossibility.

Now, the latest chapter revealed that Madara wanted to become complete and wants the world to recognize the Uchiha clan, I think those statements plus the new found information we have just recieved from the chaper previously, explains how Madara is still alive, what he wants from Sasuke, and how it is done.

A long time ago, I, as well as a few others jumped to the conclusion that Madara lived this long by housing his consciouness in the bodies of Uchiha for generations and generations. However, we didn't have the proof to establish such a method. Now, I'm saying we have a little somethin, somethin.

The chapter before last, stated that the sharingan evolved from the Rinnegan. The Rinnegan itself means, Transmigration. What Nagato did, was use his Rinnegan to transport his mind and individual jutsu across six bodies and controlled them like he was on the field himself. I'm beginnning to think that there is a major connection here.

Perhaps, about a few shy of a dozen chapters if not a dozen chapters ago, Madara mentioned something about linking Sasuke up to the Hell of God statues, which was used by Nagato when he was 18 years old to fend off against Root and Hanzou's troops as well as to seal up the Bijuu's chakra.

Based on that, I'm leaning towards the possibility that the sharingan and the rinnegan share certain characteristics that allow for similar effects. Of course, the Rinnegan is the most venerable dojutsu thus, its techniques and skills are more pure and possibly not as diluted as the sharingan's.

However, I'm saying that the sharingan is capable of transmigration considering Madara wants to be complete, Sasuke is on his side, and several consistencies with the Rinnegan traits are apparent. It would make sense as to why Madara is still alive and where he has been. It is entirely possible that he hid among the Uchiha for decades unnoticed.

As for why the other Uchiha hadn't done it, perhaps it was only something some sharingan users were born with, like a genetic deviation. Like how the Mangekyou Sharingan only appeared in few people, despite Itachi saying that many killed their brothers and best friends yet, it did not equate to them gaining supreme power.

Now, to my main point. Madara's body is either too old, or lacks the cursed chakra able to control the Bijuu, thus, he needs a perfect Uchiha body, and Sasuke fits the bill. I think the only reason why Itachi was kept around, was because Madara believed he could use him however, discovered that Itachi had another plan though was weakened by the illness and Madara saw that Sasuke eyes were stronger thus, he tried to sway him to his side. Maybe he wants to face Naruto in Sasuke's body and exact his revenge out on the guy who carries the will fo the Senju. In that sense, he is making Sasuke face Naruto.

Alright, that's how I view Madara trying to become complete. Might be wrong, but I gave it a shot.

Maybe just like his ancestor , Madara may be gifted in spiritual energy and with the eyes (the mutated form) of the sage. He lacks the intense physical energy and life force of the senju. I think he plans to use the bijuu energy to become "complete" and attain the "body of the sage." But thats just my newbie pov =)

Good post, I called it long ago in one of my byakugan posts. I stated that I believed sharinga, byakugan and the bloodline aspects in general were fragmented DNA expressions of the rinnegan, of the original sage, I did call it. The Uchihas seem more bent on keeping it in the clan though. And senju DNA seem more 'physical' hence I would say byakugan is one bloodline more senju with a hint of Uchiha mixed it, hence Kakashi's comment in Naruto part one.

True, though Orochimaru only did it a few times at best. I think he trapped his existence into the human world so he can easily transfer via a ritual. But hey, ideas been copied from the past.

i will read your post another time, too long for my current level of concentration, but i think one idea that can be concluded from the previous chapters is that madara becoming complete could have something to do with the elder and younger brother and their attributes, that is having the attributes of both brothers? i dont know if i believe this but it is a possibility

i just think he really is a ghost or a spirit, thats why not even his clothes are damaged when being rasengend or slashed, i guess rinnetensei was supposed to be used on him because he wants to be complete..

thats why he needs sasuke to synch with gedo mazu i think sumit to do with the bujiis energy inside the statue and using rinnetensei with those energy would make madara whole again.

he wants to use sasuke for gedo mazu but i doubt its for his eyes or body, he says hes not gonna synch gedo mazu with sasuke for a while thats coz he knows sasuke has to fight naruto as their"fate" then afterwards he can try n get the 9 tails and synch with sasuke to gedo mazu and the energy needed to pump rinnetensei with all the bijuus energy kills sasuke

One thing that gets me is that Madara is able to teleport with out his Mangekyo Sharingan... the whole trading bodies (a shell of his former self as quoted by itachi) might have something to do with him existing with other bodies. It could also explain the simple fact, why his hair has been changed...

I tend to agree with you some what about Madara being a former shell.

We have yet to see him fight.

He seems very defencive whenever he pops up.

But then again it could all be a way to put us into a sense of false security.

Unable to hit him makes him a very "strong" enemy maybe this is why he is the leader of Akatsuki since no one was able to defeat him and all he had to use was defencive jutsu's and since his won just by being defencive people got worried about his offencive jutsu's since they didn't get to see them.
