fighting people from various martial arts backgrounds is my job now. the last guy i fought who was still a pure martial artist was a kung fu guy.

Well, obviously there are a whole bunch of Katas out there. All of them are extremely long and require a lot of precision (well the ones I have seen anyway). So basically, what Kata can the opponents do? There is the ancient kata (damn it, I forgot the name), which is where you use swords, so I just want the name of it.

Yes. Each martial art has it's own way of teaching, and moving, and thus if it has a kata, it's designed to go with the martial art. they're not shared, although some will be similar, from similar arts.

And my interest lies with the people that are able to perform these katas, I don't know if they could do it flawlessly, who were beaten by kakashi5's sister (I think thats right). Basically, how well could they do their kata, and which one can they do?

What kakashi5 was saying, is that being able to perform the katas perfectly will not win you fights, there are a lot of other factors, which some people who can perform the kata's perfectly do not have. and that his sister has qualities that they lack.

if you are talking about a fight in the street, where someone has attacked you, then i believe there are no rules and i will do whatever it takes to come out alive. If i feel the only way to do this is by striking the groin, pulling hair, eye gouging etc then i will and it is the attackers fault for making me respond this way.

I like doing axe kicks, they are so cool and they hurt so much.
I was sparring at karate and i did an Axe kick and the other guy had to sit down coz I hurt him so bad (i got him right on the right shoulder).
