^ that doesn't seem reasonable to me. The Rinnegan doesn't have any ability to control people the SG does. The Sage at least had the SG to control the juubi with, but he was called "sage of the six paths", so then he must have had rinnegan too. Also if the juubi has the SG that doesn't explain why the sages descendants have it too. That's like saying naruto's future children will somehow be born with the fox chakra even if it's still in naruto. One of a kind things like that can't be duplicated, so the SG can't be the jyuubi's tech it would have to be the sage's.

Infact, even so, the chance of retardation or debilitation is meager. Also, it is not a subject matter in the manga, so speculating would be pointless. If the Byakugan is exclusive to the Hyuuga, and IF the Hyuuga practice endogamic marriage, which is highly unlikely, since then they would hold no prominent role, and would be of little population.

I suspect the Byakugan needs only one parent to possess the necessary hereditary code for it. On the other hand, we have not seen the mothers of either Hinata or Neji. If they are not Byakugan practitioneers, then the Hyuuga are exogamic.

Perhaps it is a family taboo to show the outside incomers who are wed to the branches. They are isolationists anyway as I see it. And they are also remarkably doing well to be incestuous....

No AMA the RG does have the ability to control people just like the SG!!!

The SG controls people mind through manipulation of chakra.

The RG controls peoples bodies through manipulation of chakra( how the chakra rods controled the bodies of the six paths remember)

Both do the same thing, just in a different fashion. One controls the mind(SG) to control the person and one controls the body(RG) to control the person.

Like I theorized in my "tobi:the father of genjuts" thread. The RG and SG are two halves to something else (that ultimate eye we see on the juubi). Both are opposites of each other just like the ying and yang, thus the RG being the light half of the juubi (can save the world and bring people back to life) and the SG is the dark half (can only seem to detroy and take life which is why its such a cursed power)

The RG has the ability to control if the user struck enough of those black rods, and with a powerful enough chakra signal. just like how pain was planning to control naruto at the tree hideout, but the sage+fox overwhelmed his chakra that's why it didn't take hold of naruto. everything that the rinnegan overrides or controls also gains the rinnegan eyes.

what i was saying is that the sharingan eyes of the juubi was too powerful to be completely overwhelmed by the rinnegan but it was enough to contain it.

just a theory though...
